This position is a vital member of the Engineering Group within our Integrated Operations Division. You'll be responsible for providing engineering support to the maintenance and operation of aircraft and related equipment. What You'll Do
As a Senior Engineer at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our aircraft operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Training & Mentorship: Conduct specialized training for Engineers in your area(s) of expertise. You'll serve as a mentor to other Engineers, sharing your knowledge and helping them develop their skills. Additionally, you'll function as a team leader or facilitator for project management or issue resolution initiatives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with manufacturers and regulatory authorities as required, ensuring that Engineering practices are properly validated according to applicable regulations and Company manuals. You'll maintain knowledge of current and upcoming regulations that affect your areas of responsibility and ensure all Engineering activities maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Technical Documentation: Develop customized procedures and special instructions for repairs, modifications, inspections, adjustments, and other maintenance activities that are not adequately addressed in existing manuals. You'll prepare Engineering documents to implement technical practices by providing customized methods for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance activities that provide benefits according to aircraft/departmental targets and management directives.
- Operational Support: Stay informed about daily airline operations within your field of responsibility. Review daily needs according to aircraft/departmental objectives and management mandates. Analyze aircraft/component issues that may cause aircraft delays or cancellations, significant expenditures in labor or materials, or breaks in maintenance activities, and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Technical Assistance: Provide Engineering support as needed to address discrepant situations affecting aircraft or parts to restore operable status. Respond to requests from Maintenance and other airline departments when technical support is needed to assist operations or resolve issues.
- Project Coordination: Develop action plans for fleet/multi-fleet and/or component Engineering tasks and pursue detailed resolutions according to assessed needs. Coordinate with other airline divisions, as needed, to accommodate effective and efficient execution of Engineering practices.
- Professional Development: Use available resources to increase levels of technical expertise and practical experience on an ongoing basis. Also, strive to improve communication skills, time management, and other personal characteristics relevant to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties.
- Team Engagement: Actively engage with front-line team members and management equally, fostering positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering field or related Engineering certification
- Experience: 1 year of Engineering experience in a related field, or 2 years of experience without a degree
- Location: Must be willing to work in Charlotte, USA
Essential Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- A&P License: Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification is required
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other productivity tools
- Analytical Abilities: Ability to analyze technical data and make information-driven decisions
- Adaptability: Demonstrates aptitude, ability, and willingness to take on new roles and responsibilities
- Communication Skills: Ability to prepare/deliver presentations that advance acceptance of solutions
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to connect with internal and external clients effectively
- Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking skills to address complex technical challenges
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to maintaining regulatory compliance and safety standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in airline maintenance engineering
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and industry standards
- Experience with fleet management and component engineering
- Six Sigma or Lean certification
- Project management professional (PMP) certification
