Position Overview
As a Pharmacist at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in the execution of medical services procedures and driving patient wellbeing results. You will be responsible for implementing patient intervention pharmacy programs, ensuring compliance with clinical pharmacy services, and executing against established pharmacy initiatives designed to improve patient health outcomes. This is a part-time position that offers flexible scheduling and the ability to work remotely while still maintaining strong connections with clinical communities and supporting the broader pharmacy operations.
You will be responsible for prescription processing from a remote setting, fostering healthy relationships with clinical communities in your assigned area, and serving as a knowledgeable resource and contact for the organization. This role requires a current pharmacist license, excellent clinical knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of pharmacy practice.
Key Responsibilities
As a valued member of the arenaflex pharmacy team, you will be entrusted with the following essential duties and responsibilities:
- Direct Patient Care Programs: Implement and oversee direct patient care programs, including but not limited to Drug Therapy Management programs, Vaccination Services, and Payer and Pharma Adherence and Clinical Projects. These initiatives are designed to improve patient outcomes and ensure optimal medication use.
- Strategy Execution: Drive the execution of multiple business strategies and projects to ensure business needs are being met. You will work collaboratively with field leadership to implement pharmacy programs that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Drive compliance and continuous quality improvement in the delivery of clinical pharmacy patient care and services by analyzing, evaluating, and redesigning processes; monitoring and analyzing results; and implementing necessary changes. Ensure that all pharmacies in your assigned area comply with regulatory compliance, standard operating procedures, and FDA regulations.
- Financial Performance: Drive local pharmacy financial performance by aligning business strategies to company financial goals. Implement and execute patient intervention pharmacy programs to maximize financial performance while improving patient health outcomes.
- Patient Experience Enhancement: Support efforts on improving patient experience by increasing focus on healthcare services, including patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and retail, clinical, or health services such as inoculations, illness state management, and Specialty programs.
- Team Support and Development: Provide expertise, resources, education, and support to pharmacists and field leadership. Support staff training experiences and development opportunities. Promote teamwork and drive pharmacy staff by fostering a shared vision and supporting organization policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Medication Safety and Accuracy: Conduct data and clinical reviews and take necessary actions to ensure accuracy and propriety of medications. Review drug histories and patient profiles to ensure appropriate and safe medication therapy. Provide individualized patient/provider consultation.
- Patient Communication: Through use of superior interpersonal skills, win the trust of patients by listening to their concerns and providing a sounding board for pharmacy concerns. Build lasting relationships with patients based on trust, empathy, and clinical expertise.
- Client Retention Program: Provide feedback concerning the effectiveness of the Client Retention Program including comments from patients as the value of individual conferences.
- Clinical Consultation: Responsible for all inquiries, transactions, and issues which relate directly to patient treatment. Provide clinical consultation and information to patients, physicians, and insurance plans as needed.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to guidelines and procedures for all job duties to meet goals. Comply with company policies and procedures including all HIPAA regulations/guidelines. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws.

Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following mandatory requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or a related pharmaceutical field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications are highly valued.
- Licensure: Current Pharmacist license as permitted by the appropriate state licensing authority. You must be licensed to practice pharmacy in at least one U.S. state.
- Experience: Experience advancing colleagues to research and resolve issues. Experience working with confidential information is essential.
- Availability: Able to work non-standard hours, which may include nights, holidays, and/or weekends. Flexibility is key in this role.
- Time Management: Experience utilizing time management skills, such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple tasks with varying completion dates.
- Self-Direction: Experience developing approaches to achieving goals with minimal oversight, depending on oneself to complete objectives and knowing when to escalate issues appropriately.
- Customer Service: Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Travel: Ready to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge in the selection process:
- Ability to obtain other state pharmacy licenses if necessary. Multistate licensure is highly desirable and demonstrates flexibility in serving patients across different regions.
- Knowledge of insurance plans and billing procedures. Understanding of various payer structures and reimbursement models is beneficial.
- Knowledge of PC operating systems including Radio, Commitment, and Plus. Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and healthcare IT platforms is advantageous.
- Microsoft Excel: Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a line, selecting font and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, adjusting text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets).
- Microsoft PowerPoint: Basic level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: embedding, modifying, hiding and deleting slides, navigating between slides, expanding list level, adding, centering and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or a note, moving objects, printing frame view and/or running a slide show).
- Microsoft Word: Basic level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting and adjusting text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and column width, formatting, inserting bullets, pictures and dates, using find and replace, fix, spell check, track changes, review sheet and/or print capabilities).
