Position Overview

As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that support advanced analysis and data science solutions. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to identify valuable internal and external data sources and develop solutions that address critical business needs.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate complex business requirements into efficient technical solutions. You will be responsible for the end-to-end data lifecycle, from acquisition and transformation to storage and serving data for various use cases across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of the arenaflex data engineering team, you will:

  • Develop sophisticated software solutions that process, store, and serve data effectively for consumption by analytics teams, data scientists, and business stakeholders across the organization.
  • Design and implement robust data models and pipelines that integrate, collect, and normalize data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights and meet comprehensive reporting requirements.
  • Create efficient ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes that facilitate seamless data movement between systems, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance throughout the pipeline.
  • Architect and maintain database systems tailored to analytical workloads, implementing best practices for indexing, partitioning, and query optimization to support high-performance analytics.
  • Develop automation tools and frameworks for both real-time and batch processing scenarios, reducing manual intervention and improving operational efficiency.
  • Build flexible, repeatable, and secure data pipelines that can scale with growing business needs while maintaining strict security and compliance standards.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and debugging to ensure programming quality and data consistency, identifying and resolving issues that could impact data integrity or system performance.
  • Integrate data from diverse sources, including structured and unstructured data stores, ensuring adherence to data quality standards and accessibility requirements.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues as they arise, implementing preventive measures to minimize future disruptions and maintain system reliability.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including peers, colleagues, leadership, and external partners, to exchange complex information related to assigned projects and initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision making and contribute to the overall data strategy of the organization.
