About the Role: Senior Data Analyst – IT

We're seeking a highly motivated and analytically-minded Senior Data Analyst to drive our digital transformation initiatives. This pivotal role sits at the intersection of technology and business, requiring someone who can not only dive deep into data but also see the bigger picture of how insights translate into operational excellence.

As a Senior Data Analyst at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for analyzing vast amounts of data from our digital channels, personalization systems, and customer loyalty platforms. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Digital Channels, Personalization, and Loyalty Technology to decode patterns, identify trends, and translate findings into strategic recommendations that enhance our digital presence and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Digital Performance Analysis: Analyze the performance of applications and systems that directly impact business functionality, identifying opportunities for enhancement and optimization.


• Strategic Question Development: Formulate insightful questions about platform data tied to Digital Channels to uncover meaningful business intelligence.


• Streamlined Analysis Workflows: Create efficient and comprehensive data analysis workstreams that deliver consistent, actionable insights.


• Data Visualization Excellence: Develop compelling data visualizations that communicate complex findings to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.


• Application Performance Monitoring: Conduct thorough application performance analysis, identifying error patterns and the top factors contributing to system issues.


• Process Improvement Initiatives: Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements with clear recommendations for enhanced performance and greater flexibility.


• Trusted Data Product Development: With your domain expertise, build trusted data products including dashboards and reporting tools that empower Digital Channels, Personalization, and Loyalty leadership to make data-driven decisions.


• Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with our global Data Center teams (US and India) to develop unified dashboards and reporting solutions.


• Platform Innovation: Track new platform updates and application releases, continuously learning existing applications and systems to navigate performance metrics effectively.


• Error Analysis & Troubleshooting: Dive deep into system errors, response times, and service logs to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.


• Data Collection Optimization: Define new data collection and tagging strategies to enhance analytical capabilities.


• Executive Communication: Prepare and deliver regular presentations to leadership, conveying updates, insights, and strategic recommendations.


• Operational Metrics Management: Collaborate with the Digital Operations Center (DOC) on functional metrics and performance indicators.

Required Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.


• Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years in Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, analytics, or data engineering, with at least 3 of those years working in a Fortune 500 corporate environment.


• Industry Experience: 3 years of experience in e-commerce platform development.


• Executive Presence: Proven experience creating and delivering presentations for stakeholders and senior leadership, with the ability to engage effectively at all management levels.


• Vision & Leadership: Demonstrated ability to create a compelling vision, inspire teams toward that vision, and provide support to achieve goals.


• BI Tool Expertise: Extensive experience with BI reporting tools such as PowerBI, Tibco Spotfire, or similar platforms to create meaningful, rich dashboards.


• Advanced Excel Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and visualization.


• E-commerce Analytics: Experience analyzing e-commerce platforms for Web, Mobile Application, and Loyalty programs.


• Large Dataset Management: Demonstrated expertise in handling large datasets and working with relational databases (SQL and Non-SQL).


• Business Acumen: Ability to understand business requirements and design data/technology metrics that connect business processes with measurable outcomes.


• Metrics & Goal Setting: Strong understanding of critical metrics and objective-setting frameworks.


• Advanced SQL Skills: High-level proficiency in SQL for complex data querying and analysis.


• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, utilizing data to address complex business challenges.


• Communication Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation abilities.


• Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.


• Reliability: Demonstrated reliable and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science, Aviation Management, Operations Research, or MBA.


• Google Data Analytics Professional Certification, Power BI Data Analyst Associate, AWS Certified Data Analytics, or Enterprise Data Warehouse certifications.


• Experience with Palantir Foundry and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.


• 4 years in a leadership or lead role within analytics teams.


• Experience with enterprise monitoring systems such as DataDog, AppDynamics, or Kibana.


• Background in the airline or travel industry is a significant advantage.


• AWS experience including Redshift, Quicksight, and Athena.


• Experience with Google BigQuery.


• Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery using Agile methodologies.


• Regression analysis experience for performance predictions, including multiple regression techniques.


• Experience with client-side performance measurement tools such as Quantum Metrics.
