Each year, we receive over 5 million surveys from customers across our Consumer, Business, and Service Provider segments. This wealth of data drives our decisions, shapes our strategies, and enables us to continuously improve. As part of our Customer Listening Team, you'll help us make sense of this data and transform raw feedback into actionable insights that shape the future of our customer experience.

What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As our Senior Statistics Architect, you'll play a critical role in modernizing and enhancing our Voice of the Customer technology infrastructure. Your expertise will be instrumental in building robust data architectures that support our survey platforms, analytics, and reporting needs. Here's what you can expect in this role:


  • Architect Data Solutions: Design and develop scalable data model architectures that support efficient data processing and standardized metric definitions across the organization.

  • Lead Technology Transformation: Help build and maintain our new Voice of the Customer platform, sourced from Cornerstone and integrated with Qualtrics—our survey vendor of choice.

  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product owners, process owners, and subject matter experts from Qualtrics and our Agile technology teams to define and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

  • Develop Big Data Solutions: Create big data and batch/real-time analytical solutions using transformational technologies including Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, and Python.

  • Drive Innovation: Design and develop software programs, build automation tools, and create consumer story analyses that deliver innovative solutions ensuring data quality and accuracy.

  • Optimize Performance: Offer guidance to enhance capabilities that drive efficiency in computing programs using the big data ecosystem.

  • Automate Processes: Proactively identify and automate manual tasks to improve quality and operational efficiency across the team.

  • Partner with Stakeholders: Collaborate with partners across various business units to prioritize, define, develop, and test data for different use cases within the VoC end-to-end process.

  • Business Requirements Translation: Work closely with application teams to define, shape, and capture business requirements, converting them into technical deliverables.

  • Expand Voice of Customer Knowledge: Develop deep expertise in Voice of the Customer methodologies and leverage this knowledge to transform data within the Cornerstone big data platform.

What We're Looking For: Qualifications & Skills

Essential Qualifications


  • Proven Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of hands-on development experience with Hive/Hadoop, PySpark, Python, Shell Scripting languages, along with deployment management and troubleshooting expertise for data-driven projects.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of big data technologies and their application in enterprise environments.

  • Agile Methodology Experience: Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies, including the ability to work in small increments and deliver value to business groups at regular intervals.

  • Collaboration Skills: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with relationship managers and product owners to understand functional requirements and convert them into technical deliverables.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills with the ability to tackle complex data challenges and develop innovative solutions.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with Qualtrics or similar survey platforms

  • Knowledge of customer experience and Voice of the Customer programs

  • Experience in the financial services or retail industry

  • Strong communication skills to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies

  • Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques
