Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support our 340B program operations and drive data-informed decision making across the organization. The 340B program is a federal program that allows covered entities to stretch scarce federal resources as far as possible, reaching more patients and providing more comprehensive services. As a Business Analyst at arenaflex, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive data analysis using various internal sources, transforming raw data into actionable business insights, and developing a thorough understanding of business processes related to all aspects of the 340B program.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Analysis and Insights: Conduct thorough data analysis to determine root causes and assess the feasibility of proposed solutions. • Visual Reporting and Presentations: Design and create charts, tables, dashboards, and other visual displays for use in executive presentations and stakeholder meetings. Effectively communicate complex findings in clear, concise, and visually compelling formats.


• Program Performance Optimization: Perform customer-specific program analysis and develop actionable recommendations to improve program performance and operational efficiency. Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement approved solutions.


• Strategic Recommendation Development: Analyze related data to effectively recommend system and operational strategy changes and improvements. Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that can drive business value and enhance competitive positioning.


• Complex Problem Resolution: Recommend solutions to complex business problems within the organization. Apply critical thinking and analytical skills to address challenges that impact operational effectiveness and program success.


• Process Enhancement and Expansion: Identify opportunities for enhancement of existing business processes and program expansion based on findings from conducted investigations. Present and advocate for findings and recommendations to various levels within the organization.


• Stakeholder Collaboration: Develop and foster working relationships with internal business partners and stakeholders to facilitate productive exchanges of information. Provide data, information, and reports as needed to support team objectives and organizational goals.


• 340B Program Expertise: Develop a robust understanding of the 340B program to identify improvements to the program offering. Stay current with regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure compliance and optimal program performance.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess a combination of technical skills, analytical capabilities, and professional experience that demonstrates their ability to excel in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, Economics, or a related field is required. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may also be considered.


• Analytical Experience: Proven experience in performing data analysis and data management activities. Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets, identify patterns, and derive meaningful insights that inform business decisions.


• Self-Directed Work Style: Experience developing approaches to achieving objectives with minimal oversight. Ability to work independently to complete objectives and exercise sound judgment regarding when to escalate issues to appropriate stakeholders.


• Presentation Skills: Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical findings into business-friendly language.


• Technical Proficiency: Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong Excel skills are particularly important for data analysis and visualization tasks.


• Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes, including both intrastate and interstate travel as needed to support organizational objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications and experiences will be considered a significant asset and may enhance your candidacy for this position.

• Pharmacy Industry Experience: Experience working with pharmacy data at a retail pharmacy, Pharmacy Benefit Manager, benefit consultancy, or managed care organization. Familiarity with pharmaceutical distribution channels and healthcare reimbursement models.


• Project Management Expertise: Experience with project management, including planning, organizing, and managing resources to achieve successful completion of specific project goals and objectives. PMP certification is a plus.


• Relationship Building: Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community, and with vendors. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functional boundaries.


• Advanced Excel Capabilities: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with functions such as VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables, data consolidation, and creating dynamic reports and dashboards.
