Position Overview

We are currently seeking a qualified Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care services in a part-time capacity. This position offers flexibility with remote prescription processing capabilities, allowing you to balance professional responsibilities with personal commitments. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for patient advocacy.

As an arenaflex Pharmacist, you will be responsible for executing medical services procedures, driving patient wellbeing results, and ensuring compliance with clinical pharmacy services. You will play a pivotal role in implementing patient intervention pharmacy programs, collaborating with healthcare providers, and maintaining the highest standards of pharmacy practice.

Key Responsibilities

As a valued member of the arenaflex pharmacy team, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:


  • Direct Patient Care Programs: Implement and oversee direct patient care programs, including Medication Therapy Management programs, Vaccination Services, and Payer and Pharma Adherence and Clinical Projects. You will work closely with patients to optimize their medication regimens and improve overall health outcomes.
  • Clinical Pharmacy Services: Drive the execution of various business strategies and projects to ensure business needs are met while maintaining exceptional clinical standards. This includes conducting comprehensive medication reviews, patient consultations, and developing individualized care plans.
  • Compliance and Quality Improvement: Lead compliance and continuous quality improvement in the delivery of clinical pharmacy patient care and services by analyzing, evaluating, and redesigning processes; monitoring and analyzing results; and implementing necessary changes. Ensure all arenaflex Pharmacies comply with regulatory compliance, standard operating procedures, and FDA guidelines.
  • Financial Performance: Drive pharmacy financial performance by aligning business strategies with company financial goals. Implement and execute patient intervention pharmacy programs to maximize financial performance while improving patient health outcomes.
  • Patient Experience Enhancement: Support efforts to improve patient experience by increasing focus on healthcare services, including patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and retail, clinical, or health services such as inoculations, illness state management, and Specialty programs.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Provide expertise, resources, education, and support to pharmacists and field leadership. Support staff training experiences and development opportunities while promoting teamwork and motivating pharmacy staff by fostering a shared vision and supporting company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Medication Safety and Accuracy: Conduct data and clinical reviews and take necessary actions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medications. Review drug histories and patient profiles to ensure appropriate and safe medication therapy while providing individualized patient/provider consultation.
  • Patient Communication: Through use of superior interpersonal skills, win the trust of patients by listening to their concerns and providing a sounding board for pharmacy concerns. Provide feedback concerning the effectiveness of the Client Retention Program including comments from patients as the value of individual consultations.
  • Clinical Consultation: Be accountable for all inquiries, transactions, and issues which relate directly to patient treatment. Provide clinical consultation and information to patients, physicians, and insurance plans as needed.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations. Adhere to guidelines and procedures for all job duties to meet objectives while complying with company policies and procedures including all HIPAA regulations/guidelines.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other work consistent with the job duties in this document as assigned by management.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:


  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Current Pharmacist license as permitted by the appropriate state licensing authority. Ability to obtain other state pharmacy licenses if necessary is preferred.
  • Experience: Experience advancing colleagues to research and resolve issues; experience working with confidential information.
  • Availability: Able to work non-standard hours, which may include nights, holidays and/or weekends.
  • Time Management: Experience utilizing time management skills, such as prioritizing/organizing and following details and meeting deadlines of multiple tasks with varying completion dates.
  • Self-Direction: Experience developing approaches to achieving goals with minimal supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
  • Customer Service: Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including satisfying quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:


  • Knowledge of insurance plans and billing procedures

  • Knowledge of computer operating systems including Radio, Commitment, and Plus

  • Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a line, selecting font and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, adjusting text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets)

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: embedding, editing, hiding and deleting slides, navigating between slides, expanding bullet points, adding, centering and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or a note, moving objects, printing frame view and/or running a slide show)

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting and adjusting text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and column width, formatting, inserting bullets, pictures and dates, using find and replace, repair, spell check, track changes, review sheet and/or print capabilities)

  • Previous experience in medication therapy management

  • Background in specialty pharmacy services

  • Experience with clinical documentation systems
