What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As an integral member of our Data Center Engineering team, you'll take on meaningful responsibilities that directly impact our operations. Here's what you can expect:

• Infrastructure Deployment & Maintenance: Participate in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of data center servers and network equipment. You'll learn how to deploy cutting-edge hardware at scale while following best practices for reliability and efficiency.


• System Monitoring & Analysis: Monitor infrastructure performance, identify trends that might indicate potential failures, and document findings. You'll work with remote teams to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions that keep our systems running smoothly.


• Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of bugs, issues, and resolutions. Your work will help future engineers understand our systems and avoid repeating past challenges.


• Linux Environment Management: Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Linux operating systems across our server fleet. You'll develop deep expertise in one of the world's most widely-used server operating systems.


• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across engineering, operations, and support teams. You'll communicate effectively with both technical peers and non-technical partners to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.

What We're Looking For: Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field


• Experience with installing, configuring, or administering Linux or Unix systems


• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching)


• Fluent communication skills in English, both written and verbal


• Ability to work full-time for a minimum of 6 months outside of academic term time


• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to technical challenges


• High school diploma or equivalent (current student status required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with data center architecture, products, and operational procedures


• Understanding of hardware components including servers, storage systems, and networking equipment
