What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Security Analyst, Data Protection at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our data loss prevention (DLP) program. Your expertise will help us identify, monitor, and protect sensitive information across our enterprise infrastructure. Here's what you can expect in this role:

Core Duties and Accountabilities


  • Manage and maintain data security tools including patching, upgrading, troubleshooting, testing, and report generation to ensure optimal performance and coverage

  • Monitor and analyze data loss prevention alerts within target timeframes, accurately assessing each incident and determining appropriate response actions

  • Maintain data protection software upgrade schedules to continuously test and improve our technical solutions, staying ahead of emerging threats

  • Resolve data loss alerts by implementing effective remediation strategies and protective controls to mitigate risks

  • Test and tune data identification policies to reduce false positives and improve detection accuracy while adhering to regulatory change procedures to minimize risk

  • Create playbooks to analyze, test, and implement new features within our security tool sets

  • Develop innovative detection methods using regex, machine learning, fingerprinting, and dictionaries to identify unique and emerging data types

  • Collaborate with business units to document existing processes that handle sensitive data and provide best practice recommendations

  • Ensure existing business processes meet data security best practices by validating processes and proposing security enhancements, then implementing approved improvements

  • Partner with the business to conduct discovery scans to identify sensitive information, review results with data owners, and provide guidance on secure storage practices

  • Review existing network architecture, engineering, and policies to assess overall deployment against industry best practices

  • Evaluate and implement new data protection solutions in alignment with cloud requirements, operationalizing these solutions to deliver value

  • Implement protective controls in the cloud to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data across all environments

  • Effectively communicate data security concepts to non-technical business leaders, translating complex technical requirements into business language

What We're Looking For: Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need a combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and personal attributes that enable you to protect arenaflex's most sensitive information assets.

Minimum Requirements


  • At least 2 years of experience working with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies, including a solid understanding of how data in motion, data at rest, and data in use is monitored

  • Strong technical knowledge of security models, infrastructure solutions, policies, and best practices

  • Experience designing and automating data security strategies for cloud environments, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS)

  • Familiarity with securing both structured and unstructured data across diverse storage systems

  • Hands-on experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions

  • Experience managing Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) solutions to monitor and control cloud application usage

  • Experience deploying and managing data classification solutions to ensure proper data handling

  • Experience with endpoint management solutions including Microsoft Intune for device security

  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks such as PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

Preferred Qualifications


  • Professional certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), Security+, or SANS GIAC certifications

  • Cloud certifications including AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Solutions Architect

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Experience with advanced threat detection and incident response procedures

  • Knowledge of additional regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, SOX, or ISO 27001
