- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and develop distributed information handling and analytical frameworks on a hybrid cloud platform
- Create high-level and detailed designs of subsystems/features with a focus on performant code
- Build and code features, collaborating with designers in daily activities and assisting in code and other SDLC tasks
- Develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) to validate new ideas and emerging technologies
- Stay up-to-date with industry-leading and innovative technologies and solutions, and apply this knowledge to build low-latency distributed systems
- Lead a culture of experimentation and innovation, participate in a results-driven culture, and be willing to take calculated risks without fear of failure
- Collaborate with peer innovation and development teams across various departments
- *Essential Qualifications:**
- 2+ years of work experience in software design and development using Java or Scala
- Experience in data handling using Flash
- Knowledge of designing, implementing, and working with any of the NoSQL databases like Cassandra, Elasticsearch
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience in distributed data handling and analysis using Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Flash
- Experience in distributed messaging frameworks like Kafka
- Experience in building Microservices and Service Mesh is a plus
- Experience in cloud platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift is a plus
- Experience in Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and DevOps Frameworks is a plus
- Clear understanding of different design patterns, threading, and memory models supported by the language/VM
- Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create and deliver effective presentations to senior management
