Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Data Operations Analytics Engineering Specialist to join our team in Clarksville, USA. In this role, you will be responsible for driving data ingestion into our enterprise data warehouse, implementing best-practice data modeling techniques, and ensuring the highest standards of data quality and governance. You'll be a key contributor to our analytics engineering efforts, helping to build scalable, performant data solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Operations Analytics Engineering Specialist at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with meaningful responsibilities that directly impact our organization's data capabilities. Your key duties will include:

• Driving Data Ingestion: Lead the design and implementation of robust data ingestion pipelines that efficiently move data from various sources into our enterprise data warehouse. You'll ensure data flows are reliable, scalable, and optimized for performance.
• Data Modeling Excellence: Implement best-practice data modeling strategies to create domain-specific data models that are both intuitive and highly functional. You'll work to ensure our data structures support advanced analytics and business intelligence needs.
• Data Quality & Governance: Develop and maintain data quality standards and governance policies that ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all data assets. You'll be responsible for establishing protocols that protect our data integrity.
• Performance Optimization: Drive continuous improvement in the performance and scalability of our data design and engineering solutions. You'll identify bottlenecks, implement optimizations, and ensure our systems can handle growing data volumes.
• Analytics Engineering Support: Ensure that our engineering platform fully supports the needs of our broader analytics engineering team. Collaborate closely to understand requirements and deliver solutions that enable advanced analytical capabilities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Support engagement with cross-functional teams on data projects, working effectively with stakeholders from various departments to deliver solutions that meet business requirements.
• Third-Party Management: Manage third-party relationships in support of data projects, including coordinating with external vendors and service providers to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

Essential Qualifications

To set you up for success from day one, arenaflex requires the following qualifications for this position:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution. The degree should be in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. Please note that your degree must be completed and verified before your start date.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of two (2) combined years of experience in data or analytics engineering within a private, public, government, or military environment. This experience should demonstrate your ability to design, build, and maintain data systems that support business objectives.

Preferred Skills & Additional Qualifications

While the following qualifications are not required, they would significantly help you succeed in this role and stand out as a candidate:

• Data Analysis Expertise: A strong understanding of data analysis concepts, statistical analysis, and data modeling techniques. You should be comfortable working with complex datasets and deriving meaningful insights from data.
• ETL & Integration Tools: Knowledge of coordination tools such as IICS (Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services), Apache Airflow, Oozie, or DBt (data build tool) for workflow management. Familiarity with these tools will help you hit the ground running.
• Big Data Technologies: Experience with big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, or cloud-based data platforms. Understanding of how to process large-scale data efficiently is highly valued.
