What You'll Do at arenaflex

As a Security Analyst, Data Protection at arenaflex, you will work alongside diverse teams to facilitate processes that identify and protect our organization's sensitive data. Your contributions will directly support our expanding Information Security program and help us maintain our position as an industry leader in data protection.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage Data Security Instruments: Oversee data security tools including patching, upgrading, troubleshooting, testing, and report generation to ensure optimal performance and protection.

  • Monitor DLP Alerts: Audit data loss prevention alerts within target timeframes and implement appropriate remediation strategies to mitigate potential threats.

  • Maintain Software Updates: Keep data protection software upgrade schedules current, continuously testing and upgrading our technical solutions to stay ahead of emerging risks.

  • Resolve Security Incidents: Address data loss alerts by executing remediation strategies and implementing protective controls to prevent future occurrences.

  • Optimize Detection Policies: Test and tune data identification policies to reduce false positives, while adhering to regulatory change procedures to minimize risk of adverse consequences.

  • Develop Technical Solutions: Create blueprints to investigate, test, and implement new features within our tool sets, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.

  • Innovate Protection Methods: Develop new methodologies using regex, AI, fingerprinting, and dictionaries to monitor unique data types and enhance our security posture.

  • Collaborate with Business Units: Partner with different areas of the business to report known business processes handling sensitive data and provide best practice recommendations.

  • Ensure Compliance: Verify that existing business processes meet data security best practices, validate processes, and propose security enhancements while implementing proposed improvements.

  • Lead Discovery Initiatives: Collaborate with the business to conduct discovery scans to identify sensitive information, review results with data owners, and provide guidance on secure storage practices.

  • Assess Network Architecture: Review existing network design, engineering, and policies, assessing overall deployment against industry best practices.

  • Evaluate New Solutions: Assess and build new data protection solutions in alignment with cloud requirements, operationalizing these answers to deliver value to the business.

  • Implement Cloud Security: Execute protective controls in the cloud environment to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data across all platforms.

  • Communicate Security Concepts: Effectively convey data security concepts to non-technical business leaders, translating complex technical details into actionable insights.

What You Need to Succeed

We're looking for candidates who bring a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a passion for data protection. To be successful in this role, you should have:

Minimum Qualifications:


  • At least 2 years of experience working with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies, including understanding how data in motion, data at rest, and data in use is monitored.

  • Strong technical knowledge of security models, system configurations, policies, and best practices.

  • Experience designing and automating data security strategies for cloud environments, including AWS.

  • Familiarity with securing both structured and unstructured data.

  • Hands-on experience working with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions.

  • Experience managing Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) solutions.

  • Experience with deployment and management of data classification solutions.

  • Experience with device management solutions using Microsoft Intune.

  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks such as PCI DSS and GDPR.
