Key Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be at the heart of our data operations, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure that makes everything possible. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Pipeline Development: Configure, build, and manage our data pipelines, ensuring that all client event data is consistently and reliably integrated into our data warehouse. You will own the end-to-end flow of data from collection to consumption.


• Dataset Creation: Develop authoritative datasets to track key product metrics including customer growth, engagement patterns, and revenue performance. These datasets will inform strategic decisions across the organization.


• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with various teams including Infrastructure, Data Science, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Research to understand their data needs and deliver tailored solutions that empower their work.


• System Implementation: Implement robust and fault-tolerant systems for data ingestion and processing. You will ensure our systems can handle massive scale while maintaining performance and reliability.


• Architecture Decisions: Participate in data architecture and engineering decisions, bringing strong analytical thinking and best practices to bear on complex problems.


• Data Governance: Ensure the security, integrity, and compliance of data according to industry standards and company policies. You will be responsible for maintaining data quality and implementing appropriate access controls.


• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, schemas, and processes to ensure knowledge transfer and team efficiency.


• Performance Optimization: Monitor pipeline performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure efficient data flow across the organization.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess a solid technical foundation and demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.


• Programming Proficiency: Strong capability in at least one programming language commonly used in Data Engineering, such as Python, Scala, or Java. You should be comfortable writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
