In this role, you will be responsible for the support and maintenance of all critical plant equipment and raised floor systems at arenaflex's enterprise data centers. This encompasses supporting the layout of the raised floor, power and network connectivity management, and comprehensive inventory management. What You'll Do

As a Data Center Infrastructure Engineer at arenaflex, you'll take the lead in ensuring the seamless operation of our mission-critical facilities. Here's what your responsibilities will include:

• Escalation Point for Incident Management: Serve as the primary escalation point for occurrence management on behalf of force and cooling systems, ensuring rapid response and resolution of any infrastructure issues that may arise.


• Operational Procedure Development: Create and maintain functional procedures for staff and vendor maintenance activities, establishing clear guidelines that ensure consistency and excellence across all operations.


• Vendor Maintenance Oversight: Schedule, track, and provide comprehensive oversight to vendor maintenance activities, ensuring all work is completed to arenaflex's exacting standards and within agreed timelines.


• Best Practices Establishment: Establish data center best practices and standards that become the benchmark for excellence throughout the organization, driving operational efficiency and reliability.


• Training and Development: Identify training needs and provide instructional guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.


• Coverage and Support: Cover open movements when specialist plans cannot be refilled, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to ensuring uninterrupted operations.


• Reliability Analysis: Identify data center reliability trends and risks, proactively addressing potential issues before they impact operations.


• Issue Management Support: Support issue management efforts to help resolve equipment, operational, and application issues on behalf of force and cooling equipment, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.


• Capacity Management: Assist with Data Center Capacity Management, ensuring optimal utilization of space, power, and cooling resources.


• Growth Activities: Contribute to growth activities, ensuring architectural and operational requirements are met as we expand our infrastructure capabilities.

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience


• A minimum of 2 years of comprehensive work experience in environments containing electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and UPS systems


• In-depth knowledge of advanced engineering technical approaches in design, build, testing, and troubleshooting issues as required by the space


• Strong technical knowledge maintained within subject areas of expertise


• Commitment to staying current with new and evolving technologies through appropriate training and self-directed education

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with data center operations in large-scale enterprise environments


• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices such as TIA-942, Uptime Institute Tier certifications


• Familiarity with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools and software


• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying issues


• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders
