Exciting Opportunity: Specialty Pharmacy Service Representative

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialty Pharmacy Service Representative to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy operations, where you'll play a critical role in supporting patients who rely on life-sustaining specialty drug therapies.

Location Requirements: This position is based in Florida, with candidates required to reside within 75 miles of our Specialty location at 9310 Southpark Center Loop, Orlando, FL, 32819. While this is primarily a work-from-home role, occasional in-office collaboration may be required for training and team meetings.

What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be the vital link between our patients and the life-saving medications they need. Your responsibilities will include:


  • Patient Telephone Support: Provide compassionate, professional telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy, ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to personalized care.

  • Order Coordination: Handle the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail throughout the entire process.

  • Benefits Verification: Verify and revivify patient benefits, working diligently to ensure coverage is confirmed and documented properly for seamless medication access.

  • Prescription Management: Assist patients with translating and accurately entering new or refill prescriptions into our advanced pharmacy information system.

  • Financial Transactions: Communicate and collect copay amounts professionally, explaining financial responsibilities with empathy and clarity.

  • Authorization Processing: Obtain necessary authorizations from insurance providers and healthcare professionals to facilitate timely medication delivery.

  • Insurance Collaboration: Work closely with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and appropriately defer orders that have accounts receivable or clinical issues.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the processing of specialty medications occurs in a timely manner while meeting financial and clinical expectations prior to fulfillment.

  • Issue Resolution: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to address complex customer needs, turning challenges into positive outcomes.

What We're Looking For: Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need to bring your heart to work every day and possess the following qualifications:


  • Customer Service Experience: Minimum of one year experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone. You must demonstrate the ability to remain calm under pressure and consistently deliver exceptional service.

  • Technical Proficiency: One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications. You should be comfortable learning new software systems quickly.

  • Keyboard Skills: One year of computer keyboarding experience with demonstrated skills and aptitude for fast, accurate data entry.

  • Communication Excellence: Superb verbal and written communication skills are essential to effectively interact with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners.

  • Education: Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Florida Residency: Must reside in Florida and within 75 miles of the Orlando, FL specialty location.

  • Healthcare work experience, particularly in pharmacy, medical, or related fields

Pay Range
