Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Air Customer Service Agent to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support for guest air travel, monitoring phone volumes, managing daily queue workloads, and responding to escalated calls with professionalism and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
As an Air Customer Service Agent at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with a variety of critical responsibilities that directly impact guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. Your duties will include:
- Multichannel Customer Support: Answer incoming phone calls and chat messages related to air travel issues, respond to emails and voicemails promptly, and relay accurate information to the appropriate parties within the organization.
- Schedule Management: Handle major schedule changes, perform ticketing activities including issuance, refunds, and exchanges while ensuring compliance with airline policies and company procedures.
- Passenger Name Record (PNR) Maintenance: Track and correct incomplete PNRs due to missing TSA data or airfare information, ensuring all passenger records are complete and accurate for smooth travel.
- Pricing Adjustments: Realign pricing within PNRs to ensure records are re-priced appropriately, collecting additional funds when necessary outside of final payment timelines.
- Ticket Certification: Certify all air tickets issued for passengers by updating the ticket match exception report, ensuring all flights are properly documented and verified.
- Ancillary Services: Assign ancillary services to guests upon request, such as seat selections, meal preferences, and special assistance requirements.
- Entertainment and VIP Travel: Process guest entertainment bookings, crew executive travel, and VIP requests while providing downstream communication to port agents, hotels, and ground transportation providers.
- Crew Travel Support: Research air schedules booked for crew members outside of budget parameters and identify cost-effective solutions.
- Last-Minute Changes: Process last-minute crew changes regarding air accommodations, ensuring minimal disruption to travel plans.
- Port Protection Coverage: Provide next-port protection coverage, including flight re-accommodation services, to ensure passengers are rebooked efficiently when unexpected changes occur.
- Communication Excellence: Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and management to reduce communication-related errors and maintain seamless operations.
- Customer Commitment: Consistently deliver on commitments to both external and internal customers to drive high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Enroute Support: Answer phone calls and chats from guests and travel agents, addressing enroute issues and providing real-time assistance.
- Shipboard Email Management: Work shipboard email inboxes to coordinate and resolve travel-related matters efficiently.

Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following essential requirements:
- Previous experience in the travel and hospitality industry is highly desirable, preferably in a high-volume call center environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required for effective communication, documentation, and data management.
- Excellent phone and customer service skills are essential, with a proven track record of delivering positive customer interactions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to effectively interact with travel suppliers, port agents, crew members, employees, other departments, and management.
- In-depth knowledge of the Sabre airline reservation system is required, including:
- Creation of air bookings
- Ticketing operations
- Exchange processing
- Pricing procedures
- Routing protocols
- Queue processing techniques
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. arenaflex is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).
- This position is 100% fully remote and available to candidates in the United States only. Please note that arenaflex is not set up to hire individuals in the following states: Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Montana, Mississippi, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will be considered a plus:
- Previous experience working with cruise line air operations or large-scale travel coordinators.
- Familiarity with international travel regulations and TSA requirements.
- Experience in handling VIP or executive travel arrangements.
- Knowledge of multiple airline systems and booking platforms beyond Sabre.

Compensation
The base hourly range for this position is $15.91 to $21.49. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidate's qualifications and experience uniquely.
