About the Role: Customer Service Representative - Pharmacy Benefits

In this vital position, you will serve as the friendly voice that members turn to when they have questions about their prescription insurance, medication coverage, and mail-order pharmacy options. Your role is essential in simplifying the healthcare experience for our members, many of whom are navigating complex medication regimens and insurance questions during challenging times in their lives.

Key Responsibilities


  • Member Support: Respond to inbound customer calls with empathy, patience, and professionalism, addressing questions about prescription insurance benefits, medication coverage, and pharmacy options

  • Insurance Navigation: Help members understand their pharmacy benefit plans, explaining coverage details, copays, deductibles, and prior authorization requirements in clear, understandable terms

  • Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve member concerns regarding prescription claims, coverage denials, and billing issues while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements

  • Mail Order Assistance: Guide members through the mail-order prescription process, helping them understand how to transfer prescriptions, track orders, and manage their medications effectively

  • Product Knowledge: Maintain thorough knowledge of our pharmacy benefit plans, formulary information, and network pharmacies to provide accurate, helpful recommendations

  • Documentation: Accurately document all member interactions in our computer systems, ensuring complete records that support quality care and compliance

  • Communication Excellence: Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve complex issues and continuously improve the member experience

  • Training Completion: Successfully complete the comprehensive 8-week on-site training program, including hands-on learning, self-paced modules, and leadership engagement

Required Qualifications


  • Customer Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience interacting with customers in a call center, retail, customer service, hospitality, or military environment

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows-based applications and comfort with learning new software systems

  • Location: Must reside within 75 miles of Las Vegas, NV

  • Availability: Willingness to work flexible schedules including days, evenings, and weekends as business needs require

  • Work Environment: Ability to maintain a dedicated, secure workspace free from distractions if working from home

Preferred Qualifications


  • Education: Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to approach challenges with a positive, productive mindset and find effective solutions

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive pay range of $17.00 - $27.90 per hour, depending on experience, location, and qualifications.
