Position Overview
As a Field Service Technician at arenaflex, you'll be the face of our service operations, ensuring that our beverage dispensing equipment operates at peak performance for our customers. This position combines technical expertise with exceptional customer service, giving you the opportunity to work independently while making a significant impact on our business.
You'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing beverage equipment – including our iconic soda fountain machines – at various customer locations throughout the Tampa area. Your technical skills and dedication to quality service will help us maintain our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
As an integral part of our service team, you will:
- Perform installation and setup of beverage dispensing equipment at customer locations, ensuring all components are properly configured and ready for operation
- Conduct preventive maintenance on soda fountain machines and related beverage equipment to maximize performance and extend equipment lifespan
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues with beverage dispensing systems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
- Execute light remanufacturing and repair work on soda fountain equipment according to company standards and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain all refrigeration equipment in proper working condition, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Transport equipment and tools to various job sites, performing all necessary mechanical services including preventive maintenance, programming, and diagnostic assessments
- Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining a positive attitude, communicating professionally, and creating outstanding customer-oriented experiences
- Collaborate effectively with team members and management to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction
- Adhere to company policies and safety protocols while representing arenaflex in a professional manner
- Maintain accurate records of all service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may prefer a Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field)
- Valid driver's license: Must possess a clean driving record with the ability to operate company vehicles safely
- Physical capability: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds comfortably and perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
- Technical aptitude: Strong mechanical inclination and eagerness to learn complex beverage equipment systems
- Availability: Flexibility to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays as operational needs require
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to diagnose issues quickly and develop effective solutions
- Communication skills: Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and customer service abilities
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following would be advantageous:
- Previous experience in field service, equipment repair, or maintenance roles
- Background in refrigeration, plumbing, or electrical work
