About the Role

This highly visible and impactful role offers the unique opportunity to engage with arenaflex's most strategic Public Sector customers across the Americas region. You will be responsible for managing a team of industry experts who lead end-to-end deal cycles for strategic, large, complex, and highly competitive opportunities. Your expertise will be crucial in establishing arenaflex as the key cloud technology provider for government agencies and public institutions.

As a Senior Manager in our Global Deal Strategy and Programs (GDSP) organization, you will own the complete deal lifecycle—from initial opportunity identification through negotiation and closure. You will focus on earning trust with customers by creating actionable strategies, developing and shaping opportunities, and leading deal engagements with precision and expertise. Your work will directly impact arenaflex's market leadership in the Public Sector while advancing your career in one of the world's most innovative technology companies.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Manager of Strategic Customer Engagements, you will:


  • Lead Strategic Negotiations: Drive negotiations and customer closure for strategic, large, complex, or highly competitive deals. You will develop comprehensive deal strategies that align customer business outcomes with arenaflex solutions, navigating complex procurement processes unique to the Public Sector.
  • Build and Lead a High-Performing Team: Recruit, develop, and retain a team of industry experts who are passionate about public sector technology transformation. You will foster a culture of excellence, providing mentorship, career development opportunities, and thoughtful performance management to drive team success.
  • Develop Deal Strategies: Shape the overall deal strategy and structure to meet customer business outcomes and goals. You will work closely with field sales executives to develop winning proposals that demonstrate clear value propositions for Public Sector customers.
  • Drive Revenue Growth: Lead revenue growth and cloud adoption across your territory, consistently exceeding targets while building long-term customer relationships that extend beyond individual transactions.
  • Establish Executive Relationships: Maintain alignment with C-level executives, IT leaders, and multiple lines of business within customer organizations to achieve business outcomes and increase adoption of arenaflex services.
  • Enable Strategic Relationships: Work to enable private pricing, go-to-market initiatives, pan-arenaflex collaborations, and other strategic relationship elements that benefit both arenaflex and our Public Sector customers.
  • Collaborate Across Organizations: Partner closely with key stakeholders across the organization, including Public Sector regional sales teams, Service Teams, Finance, Legal, and other internal groups to ensure seamless deal execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Act as Trusted Advisor: Serve as a trusted advisor in the development of commercial strategies, partnering with field sales executives in the execution of sales cycles for strategic, complex, or highly competitive Public Sector opportunities.
  • Influence and Align Stakeholders: Inspire, influence, and facilitate alignment with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and resources not under your direct control to remove obstacles and achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Present Winning Solutions: Lead or support presentation of deal proposals to customers, effectively communicating arenaflex's value proposition and addressing customer concerns throughout the sales cycle.
  • Develop Pricing Strategies: Create strategies for pricing and discounts, effectively communicating value and identifying deal blockers that could prevent successful closure.
  • Support Regional Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor to regional leadership to support arenaflex's overall Public Sector strategy and market positioning.

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • Proven Leadership Experience: 7+ years of experience leading and managing teams in sales, business development, or customer engagement roles within the technology sector. Experience in Public Sector sales is highly preferred.
  • Executive Presence: Demonstrated ability to engage and build relationships with C-level executives and senior government officials.
  • Complex Deal Experience: Track record of leading and closing large, complex strategic deals with multiple stakeholders and extended sales cycles.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop comprehensive deal strategies that align customer needs with organizational capabilities and market opportunities.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present compelling proposals and negotiate effectively.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Experience working cross-functionally with sales, finance, legal, and technical teams to achieve common goals.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would strengthen your application:


  • Public Sector Expertise: Deep understanding of government procurement processes, federal IT budgets, and the unique requirements of Public Sector customers including federal, state, local, and educational institutions.
  • Cloud Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, architectures, and the competitive landscape.
  • Advanced Degree: MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.
  • Deal Size Experience: Experience with multi-million dollar enterprise deals and complex contract negotiations.
  • Multi-Region Experience: Experience working with customers across the Americas region with understanding of regional market dynamics.
