Position Overview
As a Patient Care Coordinator at arenaflex, you will be responsible for contacting all patients regarding the delivery of medical equipment, taking patient orders, verifying patient information, and processing orders in a timely and accurate manner. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in providing excellent service to patients in need.
Position Details:
- Pay: $16 per hour plus a Quarterly Bonus opportunity
- Work Model: 100% REMOTE – Work from home from your first day
- Location Requirement: Must reside in the US and live within 60 miles of any arenaflex location
- Schedule: Five days per week, including every Saturday and Sunday, plus three evening shifts during weekdays starting at or after 4:00 PM Central Time
Key Responsibilities
As a Patient Care Coordinator, your primary duties will include:
- Patient Contact and Order Management: Contact patients regarding equipment deliveries, take orders over the telephone, and verify all patient information to ensure accuracy.
- Data Entry and Documentation: Accurately transcribe patient profiles via telephone, including data entry of essential information into our systems. This may also include outbound calling to patients and healthcare providers.
- Documentation Processing: Obtain and process medically necessary documentation required for patient orders, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Order Processing: Process patient orders through our Online Pharmacy system with precision and attention to detail.
- Shipping and Delivery Support: Resolve tracking issues and reschedule shipping orders for patients as needed to ensure timely delivery.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot problems based on patient input regarding the scope and/or magnitude of any equipment or delivery failures.
- Order Verification: Verify that all orders are complete and accurate before final processing.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management to support team goals and patient satisfaction.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Experience in the medical field and administrative record management is strongly preferred
- Strong background in customer service is essential
Skills and Competencies
- Communication: Effectively communicate in English – both oral and written. Must be helpful, knowledgeable, and polite while maintaining a positive attitude at all times.
- Comprehension: Ability to interpret a variety of communications including verbal, non-verbal, written, listening, and visual cues.
- Confidentiality: Must maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when handling sensitive patient information.
- Medical Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology is required to effectively communicate with patients and understand their needs.
- Multitasking: Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail is crucial for success in this role.
- Mathematical Skills: Must be able to accurately perform simple mathematical calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Problem-Solving: Self-motivation, strong organizational skills, excellent time-management, and deductive problem-solving skills are essential.

Technical Requirements

- Office equipment operation including fax machine, copier, printer, phone, and computer/tablet
- Understanding of all applicable home medical equipment and supplies is a plus
Employment Requirements
Employment with arenaflex is contingent upon:
- Completion of a background investigation (company-wide)
- Passing a drug screen (when applicable for the position)
- Possession of a valid driver's license in your state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)
