Position Overview

Are you ready to take your data engineering career to the next level? We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize large-scale data architectures that power critical business insights and reporting capabilities. Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data infrastructure and ensuring the seamless flow of information across the organization. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Designing and Building Large-Scale Data Architectures: Develop comprehensive data models and pipelines that efficiently organize, collect, and normalize data to generate actionable insights and fulfill complex reporting requirements.


• Creating ETL Processes and Database Systems: Write robust Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, design efficient database architectures, and develop tools that support both real-time and batch processing workflows.


• Collaborating with Data Science Teams: Work hand-in-hand with our data science professionals to transform data, integrate algorithms, and embed machine learning models into automated production processes.


• Leveraging Cloud and Big Data Technologies: Utilize cloud-based platforms (preferably GCP, though AWS or Azure experience is valued) and Hadoop ecosystems to design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and queries.


• Programming Excellence: Apply strong programming skills in Python and other major programming languages to build resilient data pipelines and dynamic systems that can scale with business needs.


• Building Data Stores and Models: Construct and maintain data warehouses and sophisticated data models that empower data science initiatives and support internal stakeholders. Integrate data from multiple sources while ensuring adherence to strict data quality and accessibility standards.


• Evaluating Technology Environments: Analyze current information technology environments to identify and assess critical capabilities, and recommend innovative solutions that drive operational excellence.


• Exploring Emerging Tools and Technologies: Experiment with available tools and provide strategic guidance on new technologies to determine optimal solutions based on specific requirements dictated by use cases and business models.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to bring a strong combination of technical expertise, industry experience, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will possess:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.


• Professional Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a similar technical role.


• Technical Proficiency: 5+ years of experience with SQL and 5+ years of experience with Python programming.


• Cloud Platform Expertise: Demonstrated experience working with cloud-based platforms, with a preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure is also highly valued.


• Core Competencies: Exceptional communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and a proven track record of critical thinking and problem-solving in complex data environments.

Preferred Qualifications
