Position Overview


We are seeking a highly analytical and strategically minded Senior Business Analyst to support our Pharmacy & Retail Operations division. This remote position plays a critical role in driving data-informed decision-making across our retail pharmacy enterprise. You will be responsible for collecting, summarizing, and interpreting complex statistical data to provide actionable insights that shape both short-term operational improvements and long-term strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities



  • Data Collection & Analysis: Gather, synthesize, and analyze statistical data from multiple sources to identify trends, exceptions, and opportunities for improvement within Pharmacy & Retail Operations.

  • Strategic Planning Support: Provide comprehensive analytical support for long-term and short-term strategic planning initiatives, ensuring data-driven recommendations align with organizational objectives.

  • Business Case Development: Conduct sophisticated analysis to build compelling business cases for system improvements, operational changes, and process enhancements, including cost-benefit analysis and return on investment projections.

  • Enterprise Knowledge Management: Maintain an in-depth understanding of enterprise strategies and practices across all facets of Pharmacy & Retail Operations, serving as a subject matter expert for analytical inquiries.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary operational point of contact for various projects, effectively communicating project status, findings, and recommendations to both corporate leadership and field operations teams.

  • Reporting & Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and deploy meaningful reports and analytical tools that provide real-time visibility into operational performance and strategic metrics.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively across Pharmacy & Retail Operations, Information Technology, Legal and Regulatory affairs, and system development teams to develop comprehensive operational solutions.

  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Manage complex ad-hoc projects and analyses as required, responding swiftly to emerging business questions and strategic priorities.

  • Mentorship & Guidance: Coach, mentor, guide, and provide oversight to junior Business Analysts, fostering their professional development and analytical capabilities.

Essential Qualifications



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.

  • Experience Requirement: Minimum of 1 year of experience analyzing and reporting data to identify problems, trends, and exceptions that drive improvement and solution development; OR equivalent combination of High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of progressive data analysis experience.

  • Database Proficiency: At least 1 year of experience querying databases using tools such as SQL, Golden, Business Objects, EDW, SAS, and/or SQL Server.

  • Problem Resolution: Demonstrated experience identifying operational problems and recommending/implementing effective solutions.

  • Executive Communication: Proven ability to communicate the impact of business analysis results to business leaders and executive stakeholders.

  • Microsoft Office Proficiency:

    • Word: Intermediate skill level including headers, page breaks, page numbers, tables, and table column adjustments.

    • Excel: Intermediate skill level including SUM functions, borders, column width, charts, text wrap, sorting, headers/footers, and print scaling.

    • PowerPoint: Intermediate skill level including theme application, spacing formatting, image insertion, slide format changes, transitions, slide numbers, chart styling, and font formatting.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Master's Degree or MBA in a relevant discipline.

  • Prior experience in Retail Pharmacy operations or healthcare analytics.

  • Advanced SQL and data visualization tool expertise.

  • Experience with enterprise data warehousing and business intelligence platforms.

  • Knowledge of pharmacy retail operations, inventory management, and supply chain analytics.

  • Project management certification (PMP, CSM, or equivalent).

Compensation & Benefits


We are pleased to offer a competitive compensation package for this position:



  • Hourly Rate: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
