Join arenaflex: Shape the Future of Global Digital Infrastructure

Are you ready to be part of one of the most transformative technology journeys in the digital age? At arenaflex, we're not just building products—we're redefining how billions of people experience the internet every single day. As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of platforms that touch nearly 900 million users worldwide. This is not just a job; it's an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a global scale while growing your career in one of the most dynamic engineering environments in the industry.

Our Site Reliability Engineering team sits at the heart of arenaflex's technology organization, working directly under the Office of the CTO as part of the arenaflex Platforms Engineering group. We are the guardians of uptime and performance, responsible for keeping our digital ecosystem running smoothly across multiple data centers and cloud providers. If you're passionate about solving complex technical challenges, automating everything in sight, and working with a team that values innovation and collaboration, then arenaflex is the place for you.

About arenaflex

At arenaflex, we believe in the power of connection. Our portfolio of products and services reaches hundreds of millions of people globally, providing them with the information, entertainment, and tools they need every day. We're going through an exciting transformation, modernizing our infrastructure and embracing cutting-edge technologies to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Our Infrastructure Engineering organization builds and maintains the modern, secure, and efficient software platforms that power all arenaflex brands at massive scale. As an SRE, you'll be at the forefront of this transformation, ensuring that our systems remain resilient, scalable, and performant even under the most demanding conditions. We handle trillions of data points daily, and we need dedicated engineers like you to help us maintain our commitment to excellence.

What You'll Do

We're looking for talented junior to mid-level engineers who are eager to grow their careers in an environment that's constantly evolving. As a Site Reliability Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for ensuring the stability and reliability of our products and infrastructure alongside other Operations teams. You'll work with services deployed at scale across our entire software, system, and network footprint spanning our data centers and multiple cloud service providers.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • System Monitoring & Incident Response: Monitor, identify, and escalate issues of varying complexity. You'll be the first line of defense when problems arise, working quickly to diagnose root causes and implement solutions that minimize user impact.

  • Infrastructure Build & Configuration: Assist with system builds, configuration, patching, and upgrades. You'll participate in maintaining and improving our server infrastructure, ensuring systems are properly configured and secure.

  • Problem Solving: Develop innovative and practical solutions to resolve non-routine problems. No two days will be the same, and you'll constantly be challenged to think creatively and adapt to new situations.

  • Automation & Tooling: Build tools to automate deployment, configuration, and monitoring. We're passionate about eliminating manual toil through automation, and you'll be expected to contribute to this mission by creating scripts and tools that improve our operational efficiency.

  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Apply working knowledge of system policies, designs, and troubleshooting techniques. You'll document your findings, create runbooks, and share knowledge with team members to build a stronger, more informed engineering community.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that reliability considerations are integrated into the software development lifecycle from the start.

What We're Looking For

We seek individuals who thrive in collaborative environments, possess strong communication skills, and have a genuine passion for creating quality solutions that support our products. You'll need to be comfortable working with both technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex technical concepts into actionable insights.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field; or equivalent industry experience. New graduates are welcome to apply!

  • Experience with Linux and Operating System fundamentals—understanding of system processes, memory management, file systems, and command-line operations.

  • Experience with container-based solutions like Docker—knowledge of containerization principles and practical deployment experience.

  • Experience with cloud best practices and services—familiarity with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

  • Knowledge of at least one scripting language, such as Python or JavaScript—the ability to write automation scripts and tools.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills—the ability to relate to non-technical audiences and engineers whose domain or experience lies outside SRE and Infrastructure.

  • A problem-solving mindset with the ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively prioritize during incidents.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of at least one systems programming language, such as C, C++, Go, or Rust.

  • Experience with TCP/IP, HTTP, application security, monitoring, and storage technologies.

  • Experience with Kubernetes and container-based orchestration.

  • Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar platforms.

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
