Position Overview
We are excited to announce a summer internship opportunity for a Quality Control Standards Data Analyst Intern at arenaflex. This 12-week internship will run from May 21 to August 9, 2024, and is based at our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX. As an intern in our Quality Control Strategies and Standards Group, you will play a pivotal role in driving a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation by identifying statistical trends and performance metrics that enhance our quality control operations.

Key Responsibilities
As a Quality Control Standards Data Analyst Intern at arenaflex, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks that contribute to our quality control initiatives. Your duties will include:
- Data Collection and Validation: Perform and assist others in the Quality Control team with optimal data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on data elements. You will ensure data integrity and accuracy across all our analytical processes.
- Analysis and Reporting: Help create and deliver results from complex data analysis for both technical and non-technical clients and leaders. You will learn to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.
- Responsive Analysis: Assist with investigating critical ad-hoc requests arising from emerging issues and provide analytical support to enable senior leadership to make informed business decisions while balancing existing project responsibilities.
- Data Visualization: Present insights, trends, and potential recommendations using data visualization tools that support the relevant aspects of the investigation to facilitate stakeholder understanding.
- Database Management: Help develop and distribute specific queries to pull and coordinate data from various sources, establishing rhythm and validating the necessity of data requirements.
- Process Audits: Identify irregularities in processes through reviews and audits, and communicate findings to the team in a clear and constructive manner.
- Performance Monitoring: Evaluate the effectiveness of processes and procedures by monitoring for trends and discrepancies, providing recommendations for improvement.

- Additional Duties: May perform other work responsibilities as directed by the Team Leader, providing flexibility and exposure to various aspects of the quality control function.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Background
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in a related field such as Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a comparable discipline.
- Previous internship experience in a related field is preferred but not required.
- Completion of relevant coursework in research methods, data analysis, or statistical modeling is advantageous.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau is preferred.
- Familiarity with data analysis platforms like Alteryx or QuickBase is a plus.
