Position Overview

As a Customer Experience & Operations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our learning center while delivering exceptional service to families and supporting our educational mission.

This position offers a unique blend of customer service, sales, tutoring, and operational responsibilities. You'll be the face of arenaflex, interacting with parents and students, conducting sales outreach, assisting with math instruction, and managing center operations. We provide comprehensive training—both online and in-center—so you can succeed in this role regardless of your prior experience in education.

Key Responsibilities


As an integral member of the arenaflex team, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties that keep our learning center running smoothly and ensure a positive experience for every family we serve. Your responsibilities will include:


  • Student and Family Engagement: Positively interact with students and parents on a daily basis, building rapport and establishing trust. Take the time to get to know each family, answer their inquiries, and ensure they feel valued and supported throughout their journey with arenaflex.
  • Sales and Business Development: Conduct proactive sales outreach via phone, email, text messages, and lead follow-ups. Schedule and conduct program consultations with prospective families, clearly communicating the value of our math programs, and sign up new families into the arenaflex program.
  • Data Management: Perform accurate data entry and spreadsheet management of all key sales and operational activities. Maintain organized records of student progress, family information, and center metrics to support informed decision-making.
  • Student Assessments and Reporting: Conduct student assessments to evaluate math proficiency levels. Grade assessments, prepare materials, and generate detailed reports for parent reviews, ensuring transparency and effective communication about student progress.
  • Digital Marketing Support: Assist with digital marketing tasks, including writing engaging blogs and creating posts for our social media channels and website. Help showcase the arenaflex story and attract new families to our programs.
  • Tutoring Support: Assist with math tutoring sessions, helping students grasp mathematical concepts and build confidence in their abilities. Provide one-on-one or small group instruction as needed.
  • Center Operations: Support center staff with various administrative tasks, including managing inventory, organizing materials, and ensuring the learning center is clean, safe, and welcoming for all visitors.
  • Operational Coordination: Coordinate day-to-day operations associated with running a smooth learning center, including scheduling, resource allocation, and process optimization.

Essential Qualifications

We're looking for candidates who bring a combination of relevant experience, strong skills, and a genuine passion for education and customer success. The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:


  • Educational Background: Recent college graduate with a degree in mathematics, sciences, engineering, communications, education, or a related field. Your academic background will provide a strong foundation for supporting student learning and understanding our curriculum.
  • Mathematical Proficiency: Strong foundational math skills through Algebra, with the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and effectively to students of varying skill levels.
  • Customer Service Experience: Minimum of 2 years of prior working experience in a customer service role within an office environment. You should be comfortable interacting with diverse populations and handling customer inquiries professionally.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical thinking abilities with the capacity to assess situations, identify solutions, and make informed decisions quickly.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly, listen actively, and build lasting relationships with families and team members.
  • Organizational Abilities: Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail, enabling you to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively.
  • Technical Proficiency: Excellent PC skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable with data entry tasks.
  • Work Ethic: Strong work ethic, punctuality, reliability, and a detail-oriented approach to all responsibilities. You must be trustworthy and committed to delivering excellence in every task.
  • Availability: Must be available to work 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM Monday through Friday, and Saturday from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. This schedule aligns with peak family availability and student tutoring hours.
  • Location: Must reside in the San Diego, CA area and be able to commute to our learning center reliably.

Preferred Qualifications


While not required, the following qualifications would make you an even stronger candidate:



  • Prior experience in education, tutoring, or teaching mathematics to students of all ages.

  • Background in sales or business development, particularly in educational services.

  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software.

  • Experience with social media management and content creation.

  • Bilingual capabilities (especially Spanish) to serve our diverse community.

Compensation and Benefits
