Position Overview: Food Service Team Leader

What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development



  • Lead and inspire a team of hourly colleagues, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement

  • Conduct effective team meetings, communicate goals clearly, and ensure alignment with overall store objectives

  • Identify high-potential candidates for advancement and develop succession plans within your department

Sales & Business Performance



  • Drive sales success by developing and executing comprehensive daily and weekly operational plans aligned with department and store goals

  • Analyze sales trends, competitor activities, and guest shopping patterns to identify growth opportunities

  • Plan and implement promotional activities, pricing strategies, and seasonal merchandising initiatives

  • Collaborate with store leadership to develop strategies that enhance guest engagement and drive revenue growth

  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions when necessary to achieve business objectives

  • Manage labor scheduling effectively to balance team member availability with business needs

Operations & Inventory Management



  • Ensure operational excellence by overseeing all food service processes, including product restocking, inventory accuracy, and merchandise presentation

  • Implement best practices for inventory management, including proper stock rotation and shrinkage prevention

  • Maintain optimal stock levels by submitting store-initiated orders according to established protocols

  • Execute proper inventory control procedures to ensure accurate recording of all products and supplies

  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to maintain consistent product availability and quality

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

  • Conduct daily inspections of back-of-house areas, production spaces, and dining areas to identify and address potential issues

  • Implement and enforce cleaning schedules and sanitation protocols consistently

  • Lead your team in understanding and practicing proper food handling procedures

  • Maintain a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance throughout your department

Brand Standards & Partnerships



  • Uphold brand excellence by ensuring all food service stations maintain designated brand standards and specifications

  • Where applicable, lead your team to maintain Starbucks and Pizza Hut brand standards and production specifications

  • Foster productive relationships with brand partners and attend required planning meetings

  • Implement feedback from brand representatives to continuously improve operations

  • Complete all required brand training and certification programs

What We're Looking For: Qualifications & Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years or older
  • Availability: Flexible scheduling ability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical requirements: Ability to move throughout the building, climb ladders, and lift or move products up to 40 pounds
  • Work environment: Ability to work in refrigerated and cold storage areas (temperatures ranging from 35-45°F)
  • Allergen awareness: Capability to work in environments where common food allergens may be present or handled

Preferred Qualifications



  • Prior retail or food service experience is highly desirable but not required – we value enthusiasm and willingness to learn!
