About arenaflex's Specialty Testing Team

arenaflex's Specialty Testing team is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to patients and clients, helping them navigate the complexities of health insurance coverage, cost, and payment options. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing assistance over the phone, researching complex information, and communicating clearly and concisely with clients and patients.

Responsibilities


  • Work in a high call volume environment, averaging ~75 calls per day from patients, doctor's offices, and/or private insurance carriers

  • Research and communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner

  • Navigate and work on multiple systems/websites simultaneously

  • Provide assistance to clients and patients regarding questions or inquiries related to insurance coverage, financial responsibilities, and/or billing

  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve reimbursement opportunities

  • Receive and process credit card payments over the phone, adhering to PCI compliance protocols

  • Initiate payment plans for patients for outstanding balances

  • Document telephone conversations clearly and accurately in the respective systems

  • Update and maintain records in the billing system, including the review of accounts, payment collections, and case notes

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines/regulations

  • Assist with other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:


  • Associates degree with at least 1+ year of prior relevant work experience OR High School diploma/GED equivalent with at least 3+ years of relevant work experience

  • Prior Healthcare experience is strongly preferred, with a strong preference given to professional medical billing and collection practices

  • Ability to interpret and apply understanding of insurance explanation of benefits (EOB) is strongly preferred

  • Previous customer service experience handling high call volume is strongly preferred

  • Medicare/Medicaid billing experience is preferred

  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes is strongly preferred

  • Experience with Laboratory Billing and Laboratory Information System (LIS) is preferred

  • Working knowledge of prior authorization is preferred

  • Understanding of Women's Health & Genetics Moms Helping Moms of Tomorrow processes is preferred

  • XIFIN experience is preferred

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to follow established program protocols and procedures

  • Ability to review large amounts of data for accuracy

  • Must be organized and detail-oriented

  • Computer proficiency in MS Windows, MS Office, and database experience

Physical Requirements

This role requires:


  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Remote Technical Requirements

To work from home, you'll need:


  • Internet speed of at least 50 megabytes per second

  • Ability to connect equipment to router/modem with Ethernet cord

  • Equipment cannot be connected through Wi-Fi or satellite internet
