What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Technician at arenaflex, you'll play a multifaceted role that combines technical expertise with exceptional customer service. Here's what you can expect:


  • Patient Interaction: Be the front and center of our pharmacy operations—greeting patients, answering questions, and providing assistance with products and services that enhance their health and wellness journey.

  • Prescription Processing: Use our advanced pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions accurately, and ensure all data is entered correctly into our electronic health records.

  • Medication Preparation: Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, retrieve, count, and pour pharmaceutical tablets; verify medication accuracy; and check for possible drug interactions to ensure patient safety.

  • Quality Assurance: Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty immediately, and adhere to all company rules and procedures related to pharmacy errors and quality improvement programs.

  • Compliance: Work in accordance with state, federal, and company policies, including strict adherence to good faith dispensing requirements across all prescription dispensing activities.

  • Financial Operations: Register all related income on assigned cash registers, collect and handle cash as required, and process corrections and resubmissions for third-party prescription service claims in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Customer Experience: Model and share exceptional customer service practices, including interpersonal habits like greeting, eye contact, and courtesy, while delivering the arenaflex service standard of proactively providing help, identifying needs, and ensuring satisfaction.

  • Inventory Management: Support pharmacy department inventory activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing prescription drug shipments. Maintain knowledge of company asset protection techniques and document claims for warehouse overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods.

  • Clinical Support: Assist pharmacists in administering medical services, including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients and other medical services as required by state regulations.

  • Community Relationships: Assist the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in developing and maintaining good relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers through clinical provider detailing and outreach.

  • Department Maintenance: Assist with indoor and outdoor maintenance by ensuring the pharmacy department is stocked with adequate supplies and maintained in a clean, neat, and orderly condition.

What We're Looking For: Qualifications & Skills

Basic Qualifications



  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to help others

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect patient information

Preferred Qualifications



  • Six months or more of experience in a retail or customer service environment

  • Previous work experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting

  • Strong math skills to accurately fill prescriptions, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications

  • Proficient computer skills and comfort with technology

  • Knowledge of store inventory management procedures

  • PTCB certification (or willingness to obtain certification through our training program)

  • Familiarity with medical terminology and pharmacy calculations
