Our Security division is at the forefront of protecting organizations against evolving cyber threats. We are looking for an experienced Customer Security Engineer to join our growing Public Sector team and help shape the future of government cybersecurity.

Position Overview

As a Customer Security Engineer specializing in Public Sector solutions at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in introducing our comprehensive Security offerings to government agencies and public sector organizations. You will serve as the technical expert and trusted advisor, helping prospective and existing customers understand the full potential of arenaflex Cloud Security solutions.

In this role, you will develop creative cloud solutions and architectures tailored to address the unique business challenges and compliance requirements faced by public sector entities. You will work closely with our Sales team to identify business opportunities, understand customer technical and compliance objections, and craft strategies to resolve complex technical challenges. Your expertise will be instrumental in demonstrating the value of our security solutions through compelling presentations, proof-of-concept implementations, and hands-on demonstrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Sales Support: Work collaboratively with Security Sales teams and arenaflex Cloud specialists to identify and qualify business opportunities. Understand customer technical requirements and compliance frameworks specific to public sector organizations, including FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Solution Development: Design and demonstrate innovative security architectures using the full portfolio of arenaflex Cloud Security products. Create tailored solutions that address customer-specific challenges while ensuring compliance with government security standards.
  • Customer Engagement: Serve as the trusted technical advisor for customers and partners throughout their security journey. Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, solution briefings, and proof-of-concept evaluations to showcase the effectiveness of arenaflex security offerings.
  • Technical Leadership: Own the technical aspects of security opportunities and relationships. Lead technical discussions with C-level executives, security leaders, enterprise architects, and security analysts to guide projects from discovery through implementation and optimization.
  • Solution Messaging: Prepare and deliver compelling product messaging that highlights the unique value proposition of arenaflex Security solutions. Utilize various techniques including executive presentations, hands-on demonstrations, white papers, technical documentation, and trial management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise closely with product marketing management and engineering teams to stay current on industry trends, emerging threats, and new product capabilities. Provide feedback to inform product development and enhancement.
  • Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of cybersecurity industry developments, including ransomware trends, attack frameworks, zero trust architecture, and emerging compliance requirements. Position arenaflex as the leader in public sector cloud security.
  • Travel & Events: Travel to customer sites, industry conferences, and related events as needed to support business development and customer success initiatives.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience in a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity or cloud native architectures in a customer-facing, technical sales, or consulting role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • Industry certifications in Cloud Security, Cloud Architecture, or Cybersecurity (such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience implementing comprehensive security solutions for enterprise customers, including threat detection and hunting programs, malware intelligence platforms, cloud security posture management tools, or identity and access management systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of current and emerging cybersecurity threats and trends, including ransomware attacks, attack frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK), zero trust architecture principles, and regulatory compliance requirements.
