The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an accomplished leader to serve as our Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse & Analytics. This is a pivotal role within our Trust and Safety organization, responsible for leading comprehensive efforts to identify, analyze, and combat adversarial behavior across our platform. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in risk management, fraud detection at scale, and data-driven decision making to lead our teams in protecting users worldwide.

You will oversee both our Adversarial Abuse team and our Business Analytics function, driving strategic initiatives that protect millions of users while enabling legitimate engagement and expression.
What You'll Do
As the Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse & Analytics at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
- Leadership of the Adversarial Abuse Team: Lead and inspire teams responsible for identifying and removing bad actors attempting account takeovers, spam, engagement manipulation, evasion of termination, and other forms of platform abuse. Ensure proactive detection of emerging threats and trends.
- Business Analytics Oversight: Manage the Business Analysis team responsible for measuring abuse, interpreting complex datasets, generating actionable insights, and producing regular transparency reports for governments and stakeholders worldwide.
- Strategic Risk Mitigation: Understand, anticipate, and intelligently moderate risks arising from new and scaling industry trends, including emerging technologies such as generative AI and evolving threat vectors.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Policy Development teams to create policies using account, social, and content signals that effectively describe and combat harmful behavior.
- Operational Excellence: Drive effective and efficient operational performance including quality metrics and service levels in a global team operating 24×7. This role requires occasional on-call availability on weekends and holidays on a rotational basis.
- Talent Development: Attract, retain, manage, and develop top talent across global teams. Build high-performing teams that are passionate about platform safety and user protection.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage escalations with quick turnaround times, provide data and content-driven insights, and implement solutions while building relationships with key cross-functional partners to help launch new products and policies.
- Executive Communication: Present findings, strategies, and recommendations to executive leadership and board-level stakeholders with clarity and persuasive communication.

Essential Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent practical experience demonstrating analytical and leadership capabilities.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in risk management, fraud fighting at scale, and building/delivering analytical insights that drive business decisions.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with engineering teams that build data infrastructure and machine learning models. Understanding of technical architecture and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical stakeholders.
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading teams with the ability to work non-standard work weeks as emergencies and accelerations require. Must be comfortable with the demands of a 24×7 operational environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with cross-functional partners across product, engineering, policy, and operations teams.
- Strong business judgment with strategic and analytical skills, including the ability to use data to drive strategy and business action in a rapidly changing industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Proven track record of managing ambiguity while delivering results under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a related field such as Analytics, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
- 2+ years of experience with investigation of large datasets and anomaly detection methodologies. Strong statistical background and experience with pattern recognition in complex data environments.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in anti-abuse operations, content moderation, or trust and safety functions.
- Proficiency in SQL, R, or Matlab for data analysis and visualization. Comfortable working with large-scale data processing systems.
- Exceptional influencing and leadership communication skills with the ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to develop long-term roadmaps while addressing immediate operational needs.
- Knowledge of global regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements related to platform safety and content governance.
- Experience working with international teams across multiple time zones and cultural contexts.
