Position Overview

arenaflex is seeking a motivated and responsible Part-Time Chat Moderator to join our growing community management team. This is a remote, flexible position that plays a critical role in maintaining the health and safety of our official Discord server and other associated online platforms. As a Chat Moderator, you will be the frontline guardian of our community standards, ensuring that all interactions align with our values of equality, respect, and inclusivity.

Key Responsibilities

As a Chat Moderator at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with several important duties that directly impact the experience of our community members. Your primary responsibilities include:


  • Content Monitoring and Management: Review and monitor chat messages, user communications, and community interactions in real-time to identify any content that violates established community guidelines or terms of service.

  • Policy Enforcement: Remove, delete, or edit messages that contain prohibited content, including but not limited to spam, harassment, hate speech, explicit material, personal attacks, or any other content that contravenes our community standards.

  • User Account Management: Issue temporary or permanent bans to users who engage in repeated violations of community rules, demonstrating a pattern of disregard for established guidelines.

  • Temporary Restrictions: Apply mute or temporary restriction measures to users who have violated rules, ensuring that the duration of the restriction is appropriate to the severity of the infraction.

  • Incident Investigation: Thoroughly investigate reports submitted by community members regarding potential rule violations, gathering all necessary information to make informed and fair decisions.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all moderation actions taken, including warnings issued, bans enacted, and any appeals received, ensuring transparency and consistency in our moderation approach.

  • Community Support: Respond to user inquiries, provide clarification on community rules and guidelines, and assist members who may be experiencing issues within the community.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other moderation team members and leadership to identify emerging trends, address complex situations, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our moderation policies and procedures.

  • Policy Development Input: Provide constructive feedback and suggestions for enhancing community guidelines, moderation tools, and overall user experience based on your firsthand observations and interactions.

  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age or older at the time of application.
