Position Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team at our Saint Cloud location. In this role, you will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, delivering holistic patient care that encompasses health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Key Responsibilities
As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for:
- Providing comprehensive primary care services including thorough patient assessments, accurate diagnoses, treatment planning, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions
- Delivering health counseling and education to patients, empowering them to take an active role in their healthcare decisions and wellness journey
- Performing administrative duties including opening and closing the clinic, managing inventory, coordinating patient flow, verifying insurance coverage, and processing payments
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff
- Managing patient appointments efficiently and conducting triage assessments to ensure positive patient health outcomes
- Conducting interviews with patients about healthy lifestyle choices and providing guidance on nutrition, exercise, and disease prevention
- Performing diagnostic tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of injuries and illnesses
- Coordinating with other healthcare professionals to maintain a comprehensive plan of care for each patient
- Encouraging patients to become active participants in their healthcare through services such as health screenings, behavioral health support, wellness programs, and chronic condition management
- Administering vaccinations and injections, including but not limited to COVID-19, influenza, tuberculosis, and Depo-Provera, while providing evidence-based patient and parent vaccine education
- Providing education and treatment for pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention, and safer sex practices
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and organizational policies
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Graduate degree-level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice in the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse role OR Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or other health-related graduate degree) with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice in the role
- Minimum of two years of clinically relevant experience or equivalent
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including proficiency in performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Ability to pass a FIT test and wear provided respirator covering when protocol requires
- Completion of the Spot certification test within 30 days of employment
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a collaborative team
- Dedication to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement
- Commitment to patient-centered care and health equity
Preferred Qualifications
- If under 1 year of work experience as a licensed provider, previous student precepting experience with arenaflex is preferred but not required
- Additional language proficiency, including but not limited to Spanish, is highly desirable depending on market needs
- Experience in retail health, urgent care, or primary care settings
- Demonstrated involvement in community health initiatives or public health programs
