Position Overview
As a Pharmacist at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in executing medical services procedures and driving patient well-being outcomes. You will be responsible for implementing patient intervention pharmacy programs, ensuring compliance with clinical pharmacy services, and executing against established pharmacy initiatives. This role offers the unique opportunity to work remotely while still maintaining strong connections with clinical communities in your assigned region.
You will serve as an expert resource and contact for the organization, representing arenaflex with professionalism and integrity. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving pharmacy financial performance by executing programs that increase reimbursements while simultaneously improving patient health outcomes. Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Clinical Services
- Implements direct patient care programs, including Drug Therapy Management programs, Vaccination Services, and Payer and Pharma Adherence and Clinical Projects
- Conducts comprehensive medication reviews and patient profiles to ensure appropriate and safe medication therapy
- Performs data and clinical reviews to ensure accuracy and propriety of medications prescribed
- Reviews drug histories and patient profiles to ensure proper and safe medication treatment
- Provides clinical consultation and information to patients, physicians, and insurance plans as needed
- Increases focus on healthcare services including patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and wellness services such as inoculations, illness state management, and specialty programs
Program Execution & Business Development
- Drives the execution of multiple business strategies and projects to ensure business needs are being met
- Implements and executes patient intervention pharmacy programs to maximize financial performance
- Drives pharmacy financial performance by aligning business strategies to company financial goals
- Supports efforts on improving patient experience by expanding focus on comprehensive healthcare services
- Executes against identified partner established pharmacy programs
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Drives compliance and continuous quality improvement in the delivery of clinical pharmacy patient care and services
- Analyzes, evaluates, and redesigns processes to improve service delivery
- Monitors and analyzes results and implements changes as necessary
- Ensures region Pharmacies comply with regulatory compliance, standard operating procedures, and FDA guidelines
- Adheres to company policies and procedures including all HIPAA rules and regulations
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations
- Maintains current knowledge of Pharmacy industry developments and maintains required licensure
Leadership & Team Support
- Provides expertise, resources, education, and support to pharmacists and field leadership
- Acts as an informed authority and resource to other pharmacists and field leaders
- Supports staff training experiences and development opportunities
- Promotes teamwork and motivates Pharmacy staff by fostering a shared vision
- Supports organization policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
- Encourages healthy relationships with clinical communities in assigned area
- Acts as a representative and contact of the organization
Customer Service Excellence
- Utilizes superior interpersonal skills to win the trust of patients by listening to their concerns
- Provides a sounding board for pharmacy concerns
- Delivers exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients
- Meets quality standards for services and evaluates customer satisfaction
- Responsible for all inquiries, transactions, and issues which relate directly to patient treatment
- Provides feedback concerning the effectiveness of Client Retention Program including patient comments about the value of individual consultations
Essential Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or related field
- Licensure: Current Pharmacist license as allowed by the appropriate state licensing authority
- Work Schedule: Able to work non-standard hours, which may include nights, holidays, and/or weekends
- Availability: Able to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)
- Time Management: Experience utilizing time management skills, such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple tasks with varying completion dates
- Problem-Solving: Experience developing approaches to achieving goals with minimal supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and knowing when to escalate issues
- Client Relations: Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Confidentiality: Experience working with sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality
- Leadership: Experience leading and mentoring colleagues to research and resolve issues
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to obtain other state pharmacy licenses if required
- Knowledge of insurance plans and reimbursement procedures
- Knowledge of pharmacy operating systems including POS and related software
- Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (workbook creation, formatting, formulas, data management)
- Basic level proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (slide creation, editing, presentation delivery)
- Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Word (document creation, formatting, editing features)
- Experience with specialty pharmacy programs
- Previous experience in retail or clinical pharmacy settings
