Key Responsibilities

As an integral member of our Infrastructure Design team, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Network Design and Implementation: Lead the scaling of current network designs to address the growing needs of the business. Work closely with Network Planners, Transport teams, and Security Engineers to develop comprehensive network plans and policies, bringing them from concept to production.
  • Team Collaboration: Work within a team of technical resources to support the Building, Engineering, and Operations teams in managing and maintaining multi-vendor, multi-protocol enterprise and production networks. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across various technical disciplines.
  • Operational Support: Ensure 24x7 operational support and maintenance of network applications. Provide support for Network Engineering tasks as assigned, maintaining system reliability and performance around the clock.
  • Communication: Interface and communicate with managers and peers, conveying routine information that requires some explanation or interpretation, typically to members of a single technical team or across multiple stakeholders.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Resolve network issues with low to moderate complexity while following established procedures. Analyze data to diagnose and identify root causes when necessary to resolve network issues or complete projects. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform thorough root cause analysis.
  • Work Ethic and Initiative: Display a strong work ethic, drive, and the ability to aggressively and effectively investigate issues. Perform root cause analysis to identify underlying problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Business Partnership: Collaborate with the business to understand requirements and determine how to meet these requirements effectively. Translate business needs into technical solutions that drive operational efficiency.
  • Incident Management: Responsible for Incident Management, ensuring that incidents are effectively raised, managed, and resolved with full communication of status, plans, and actions to management and clients. Maintain clear and timely communication throughout the incident lifecycle.
  • Project Participation: Participate in small to medium application and system implementation projects, ensuring project outcomes align with network architecture standards. Contribute to project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Vendor Management: Work with technology vendors to assess software and hardware bugs and implement necessary fixes. Maintain positive vendor relationships and coordinate technical resolution efforts.
  • Technical Communication: Communicate with both internal and external contacts at various organizational levels to diagnose, explain, and resolve issues for both technical and non-technical audiences. Adapt communication style to effectively engage different stakeholders.
  • Content Delivery Support: Investigate daily live content delivery and pressure delivery issues as they arise. Ensure minimal disruption to content streaming and distribution services.
  • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrate exceptional ability to connect the dots at the organization, system, program, project, and event levels. Persuade and change the thinking of others without damaging relationships.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-moving, growth environment with minimal direction, delivering under close deadlines while multitasking, prioritizing projects, and communicating priority updates to team members.
  • Resourcefulness: Able to work with limited resources, demonstrate impartial critical thinking, and creatively solve problems. Motivated and innovative, always finding a way forward — an eternal positive thinker with a serious drive for contributing and making an impact.
