  • *Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Media Replay Operator I to join our Studio Operations team, working from home. As a Media Replay Operator I, you will be responsible for coordinating, recording, editing, and playing back server-based material during live and pre-recorded productions. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all content meets arenaflex's high standards for video and audio quality. You will also be responsible for local media management and show naming.

  • *Key Responsibilities**
  • Works all broadcast hardware and technology within assigned working areas, including but not limited to association and delivery of all server content used for recording and playback during control room productions.
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of editing techniques on instant replay and non-linear systems
  • Measures sound and video signals to ensure quality control of ESPN adopted guidelines on all activities using extensive knowledge of broadcast strategies.
  • May train others in operational areas and if so, expected to produce training documentation.
  • Participates in training programs, (physical, classroom, virtual, etc.) for self-professional development as well as regarding any applicable equipment and work process changes within the role.
  • Shows strong knowledge of plant signal flow/steering.
  • Participates in special event coverage and projects as needed.
  • Some other responsibilities as needed to assist in achieving business objectives.
  • *Required Capabilities**
  • A minimum of 2 years of practical television production or related experience at the major market or organization level.
  • Proficient knowledge of all television production hardware and technology within assigned working areas, including but not limited to: Video production switchers, server-based recording/playback systems and related control devices, television production switches, radio systems, signal conversion equipment, etc.
  • Ability to work late shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Flexibility to modify shifts/days off and stay at work longer than required to accommodate projects and departmental objectives.
  • Should demonstrate ability to perform tasks under tight deadlines, work independently and lead concurrent projects.
  • Strong understanding of work processes in other specialty units, including their impact and/or specific integration with Production Tasks.
  • Organizational, efficiency and it are expected to design skills.
  • Should be willing and able to adapt to a continually evolving environment.
  • Competitors should have good computer foundation (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc...) and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Issue addresses and investigates using effective communication to best convey any issues requiring resolution.
  • Searches out information regarding the work processes of other specialty units, including their impact or potentially specific coordination with Production Tasks, and using that information to improve processes as well as educate others.
  • Participates in training programs, (physical, classroom, virtual, etc.) for self-professional development as well as regarding any applicable equipment and work process changes within the role.
  • *Preferred Capabilities**
  • Evident knowledge of broadcast communications equipment
  • Understanding of remote event work processes and terminology
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service to our partners
  • Bilingual (written and spoken) - English/Spanish
  • *Required Education**
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • *Preferred Education**
  • Four-year degree in Communications, Studio Production, News Broadcasting, or related field
  • Professional School Certificate
