Position Overview

We are currently hiring full-time Inbound Phone Customer Service Representatives to join our team reporting to a Supervisor, Customer Experience starting in November 2023. This position is based at our facility located at 827 Fisher Drive, Waterloo, IA 50701, with a hybrid work model that offers flexibility after completing our comprehensive training program.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy talking to people, solving problems, and working in a collaborative team environment. You will be handling a high volume of inbound phone calls, working closely with customers and Sales team members to deliver outstanding service and support.

Key Responsibilities

As an Inbound Customer Service Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for excellent customer service. Your primary responsibilities will include:


  • Building Customer Relationships: Respond to a high volume of inbound phone calls with enthusiasm, professionalism, and a customer-first mindset. Every call is an opportunity to strengthen a relationship and demonstrate our commitment to customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborative Team Environment: Work closely with customers and Sales team members daily to ensure seamless service delivery. Coordination with colleagues across departments will be essential to resolve complex issues and provide comprehensive solutions.

  • Technical Proficiency: Utilize computer systems and multiple PC-based programs effectively while maintaining the ability to sit and work for up to 8 hours per day. You will be trained on our proprietary systems and industry-standard software.

  • Problem Resolution: Resolve customers' challenges by leveraging all available resources for account selection, product identification, order placement, and order management. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you navigate customer needs.

  • Financial Transactions: Handle pricing and invoicing discrepancies with accuracy and attention to detail. Apply credits appropriately and implement return procedures in accordance with company policies.

  • Documentation and Follow-Up: Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, issues resolved, and actions taken to ensure continuity of service and enable data-driven improvements.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following essential requirements:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required. We value educational background but also recognize that real-world experience and interpersonal skills are equally important.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of customer service experience is required. This can include retail, hospitality, call center, or any role involving direct customer interaction.
  • Commute Capability: Ability to commute to our facility from your home location. The position requires physical presence at our Waterloo, IA location for training and hybrid work arrangements.
  • Home Workspace: A secure, dedicated workspace at home that is free from distractions and suitable for professional work activities. This space should be quiet, organized, and equipped to handle confidential customer information.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating and navigating multiple PC-based programs simultaneously. You should be comfortable switching between applications and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Internet Requirements: Stable internet connection with the ability to provide proof of internet speeds greater than 5 megabits per second upload, 15 megabits per second download, and ping less than 80 milliseconds. This ensures reliable performance during remote work periods.

Preferred Qualifications

Our comprehensive 8-week onsite training academy will provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to best serve our customers. You will be provided with all necessary equipment, including a laptop, dual monitors, keyboard, and accessories on your first day. Work Schedule

We offer a convenient Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Time, meaning weekends are yours to enjoy! This predictable schedule provides excellent work-life balance and allows you to plan personal activities without conflict.

Hybrid Work Model

After graduation (completion of the 8-week training), team members meeting work-from-home requirements will enjoy a hybrid work environment of three days onsite and two days at home. The choice of which days to work from home can change each week based on your preference, offering maximum flexibility.

Additionally, you can earn additional flexibility to work from home up to 5 days a week through our internal bidding process. You will also be eligible to participate in a bidding process for alternate work shifts, providing opportunities for those seeking different schedules.
