Position Overview: Ground Support Equipment Maintenance Technician

This is a full-time position within arenaflex's Ground Support Equipment (GSE) division, working as a vehicle and heavy equipment specialist. As a Ground Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, troubleshooting, servicing, and upgrading the automated ground support equipment owned and operated by arenaflex. Your technical expertise will be crucial in maintaining the fleet of vehicles and equipment that keep our Colorado operations running smoothly and safely.

You will work on a diverse range of automated equipment, including but not limited to motors, hydrodynamic systems, electrical systems, controls, safety systems, and various vehicles used in airport operations. In addition to mechanical repairs, you will perform bodywork and other technical tasks as needed. Key Responsibilities

As a Ground Support Equipment Maintenance Technician at arenaflex, you will be responsible for the following key duties:


  • Equipment Inspection and Repair: Review, service, investigate, repair, replace, and upgrade all aspects of ground support equipment, including truck frames, bodies, and drive-train components across a diverse collection of GSE vehicles and machinery.

  • Electrical and Hydraulic Systems: Perform electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair, ensuring all systems meet arenaflex's stringent safety and performance standards.

  • Bodywork and Painting: Execute bodywork repairs and painting tasks as required to maintain the appearance and structural integrity of ground support equipment.

  • Technical Documentation: Complete accurate data entry to record work performed, parts used, and maintenance completed. Communicate effectively with other arenaflex personnel as needed to coordinate repairs and share critical information.

  • Safety Compliance: Practice safety-conscious and environmentally conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures. Adhere to all FAA regulations, arenaflex policies, and industry best practices for ground support equipment maintenance.

  • Equipment Testing: Conduct thorough testing of repaired equipment to ensure proper functionality before returning vehicles to service.

Minimum Qualifications

Internal Development Requirements

For internal arenaflex candidates applying for this position, the following requirements apply:


  • Must be in good standing in current position (no formal written warning, remedial action, or final written notice within the past six months).

  • Has not transferred within the past six months from current department in current station. This requirement may be waived for special opportunities such as SA to CSA/CXA or CSA/CXA to Specialty CSA/CXA transitions.

  • If transferring from outside the ACS/CGO/Clean/GSE division, must be in current position for at least three years.

  • Must currently be on active status; if on inactive status, may be eligible to transfer if returned to active status prior to the transfer date.
