- *Job Summary**
As a Full Stack Database Administrator II at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our enterprise data management systems. You'll work closely with our development team to ensure seamless integration with our applications, and collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve data-related issues. - *Key Responsibilities**
- Investigate and resolve daily database and application issues
- Collaborate with the documentation team to document existing systems and procedures
- Assist in the planning, execution, and maintenance of standards and methodologies for data validation, data organization, backups, and recovery
- Support the development, deployment, and maintenance of multiple databases in local and remote server farms
- Ensure high availability for SQL Server, including clustering, replication, and mirroring
- Collaborate with application teams to resolve database-related issues
- Install and configure server-based applications in collaboration with system administrators
- Install and manage new software, updates, and fixes
- Develop and implement best practices for stored procedures, triggers, packages, tables, and views
- Optimize database performance by investigating and tuning stored procedures, creating indexes, and modifying database configurations
- Design and maintain enterprise ETL processes using various ETL tools, including SSIS, .NET scripting, and T-SQL
- Perform database maintenance tasks and generate system reports
- Develop and implement security models
- Participate in application development cycles to ensure good database design and access procedures
- Plan, prepare, and test backup and recovery methods for all production databases
- Monitor databases for performance and occasionally upgrade databases for optimal performance during planned downtime
- Create and manage tuning parameters where necessary to improve performance
- Determine volumetric conditions to estimate new database sizes and plan accordingly for growth
- Communicate plans to system administrators
- Responsible for the security of database systems and all business/logical applications associated with it, including creating and maintaining database and application accounts, application/database fixing, and database/application security auditing
- Item checking for performance and health, participate in load test exercises
- Other duties as assigned
- *Requirements**
- Strong background in client-server technology
- Working knowledge of SQL Server
- 5+ years of experience as a SQL DBA in a business, multi-site SQL Server environment
- Middle to advanced skills with SSIS and T-SQL
- Effective written and oral communication skills, as well as organizational and analytical skills
- Readiness and demonstrated ability to provide the highest level of customer support
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Services and moving databases into cloud environments
- Reporting Services (SSRS) and Analysis Services (SSAS) experience is preferred but not required
- Experience with .NET scripting (C# or VB.NET) as well as PowerShell is preferred but not required
- Experience in the Automotive Industry is preferred but not required
- Experience in CRM systems is preferred but not required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate directly with both customers and vendors
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Ability to identify, resolve, and determine applications that work with databases
