About Food and Refreshment
The Food and Refreshment department is the heartbeat of our store operations, ensuring that every guest who walks through our doors experiences the highest level of service and finds fresh, high-quality products they can trust. This team is responsible for maintaining consistent guest experiences by ensuring that all food items are fresh, properly stocked, accurately priced, and meets our rigorous quality standards.
Our Food and Refreshment specialists are experts in operations, processes, and efficiency. They drive our food and food service operations including product replenishment, inventory accuracy, sanitation, presentation, pricing, and promotional merchandising processes across all Food and Refreshment areas of the store. This role is critical to maintaining our reputation as a destination for quality food and excellent service.
As a Food Administration Group Leader at arenaflex, you will have the opportunity to develop valuable skills and experiences that will serve you throughout your career. This role provides:
- Comprehensive knowledge of guest service essentials and experience building a guest-first culture within your team
- In-depth understanding of Food and Refreshment business fundamentals including department sales trends, freshness and quality standards, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, and pricing and promotional strategies
- Skills in scheduling department daily and weekly responsibilities to support business needs and achieve sales goals
- Experience leading a team of hourly associates, including skills in meeting, developing, coaching, evaluating, and retaining talent
- Leadership experience in a fast-paced retail environment with significant guest interaction
- Exposure to brand standards and operations for our licensed food service partners
What You'll Do
As a Food Administration Group Leader at arenaflex, no two days will ever be the same, but a typical day will definitely include the following responsibilities:
Sales Leadership and Planning
- Analyze sales goals and develop plans to execute daily and weekly responsibilities that meet department and store sales goals and guest engagement objectives
- Plan food service promotions, markdowns, sales plans,分析了, promotions, and markdown responsibilities
- Create and manage work schedules that adapt to guest and business needs, including early morning, evening, overnight shifts, and weekends
- Monitor department performance and implement corrective actions as needed to drive results
Guest Service Excellence
- Model guest service principles by delivering a fresh and full department during all operating hours
- Develop specialists who can share product knowledge with guests confidently
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience
- Model, train, and coach team members to meet service standards consistently
- Ensure every guest interaction leaves a positive, lasting impression
Operations and Sanitation
- Inspect Food Service back of house, production areas, dining spaces, and marketing spaces to ensure sanitation and proper stock levels
- Walk Food and Refreshment guidelines and Food Service schedules daily to assess needs and review reports to identify business gaps for follow-up
- Ensure proper execution of all food safety standards and cleaning schedules
- Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Verify and follow up on team member progress against department checklists and schedules
Brand Standards and Partnerships
- Lead your team to maintain and uphold all licensed brand standards and production specifications
- Foster productive relationships with brand district managers
- Attend required in-store planning sessions and meetings
- Follow up on key takeaways from brand partner visits
Inventory Management
- Ensure proper execution on all food safety guidelines and cleaning schedules
- Maintain accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders according to best practices
- Follow proper cold inventory management procedures to ensure accurate recording of stock
- Make production quantity decisions with perfect timing to ensure freshness, in-stocks, sales, and profitability are achieved all day, every day
Team Development
- Anticipate and encourage team members to stay up-to-date on important trends and products
- Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions and develop a guest-driven team
- Lead team onboarding and onboarding and close knowledge and skill gaps through training and experiences
- Establish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable to standards
- Complete all required training and certifications
Compliance and Safety
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, health, and compliance
- Lead team to work ethically and hold others accountable to this commitment
- Lead and create a safety-first culture by understanding how safety impacts your role and that of your team
- Identify and correct hazards and hold team accountable to working safely to protect themselves and others
- As a key carrier, follow all safety training and processes completely
Store Support
- Address store needs including emergencies and administrative visits
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
- Support guest services such as backup cashier, order pickup, and drive-up services
- Maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with government, state, and local regulations
- Perform any other duties as assigned based on business needs

Essential Qualifications
The great news is we have amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be a Food Administration Group Leader. However, there are a few skills you should have from the start:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail experience preferred, but not required
- Strong interest and knowledge of the food service business
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable
- Learn and adapt to current technology needs
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Manage schedules and prioritize tasks independently
- Friendly and service-oriented demeanor
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Regular attendance is essential
Additional Requirements
