Position Overview

As an External Support Engineer at arenaflex, you'll serve as the first line of defense and the primary point of contact for external content creation teams who use our proprietary tools. You are the essential liaison between the creative professionals who use our tools daily and the engineering teams who build and improve them. Your role is multifaceted—part detective, part educator, part advocate, and part problem-solver. You'll be responsible for ensuring that our external partners have a seamless experience when using our toolset, and you'll play a critical role in identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • Technical Support Excellence: Provide comprehensive technical support to external content teams regarding the use of our content creation tools. You'll diagnose issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to keep our partners productive and satisfied.
  • Documentation & Training: Create and maintain high-quality reference materials, including user guides, FAQs, troubleshooting articles, and video tutorials. You'll also conduct training sessions to help external teams get up to speed with our evolving toolset.
  • Issue Resolution: Solve and debug complex issues with tools and workflows. You'll need to think creatively to find workarounds while permanent solutions are developed, ensuring minimal disruption to our users' work.
  • Escalation Management: Identify issues that require deeper technical intervention and escalate them appropriately to the tool development team. You'll work closely with production to track these issues in JIRA, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
  • Advocacy & Feedback: Be the voice of our external partners. Advocate for tools enhancements, workflow improvements, and feature requests based on user feedback. You'll collect and synthesize insights to help shape the future of our products.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineers across disciplines to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality. You'll participate in cross-functional discussions to drive features from initial concept to successful completion.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need a solid foundation in both technical skills and interpersonal capabilities. We're looking for candidates who bring:


  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered, so if you have the skills but not the degree, we'd still love to hear from you.
  • Technical Proficiency: The ability to read and understand C# code is essential. While you won't be primarily writing code, you need sufficient comprehension to diagnose issues and communicate effectively with development teams.
  • Industry Experience: At least 5 years of experience delivering production-level code in a professional environment. This demonstrates your understanding of software development lifecycles and quality standards.
  • Tool Development Experience: Hands-on experience with Unity 3D game and tool development is highly valued. This background will help you understand the unique challenges faced by creative professionals using our tools.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $325,000, reflecting our commitment to competitive pay that aligns with market indicators.
