Position Overview: Automotive Technician
We are currently seeking reliable and skilled Automotive Technicians to join our exceptional fleet maintenance team. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse range of equipment that keeps our operations running smoothly. Our fleet includes delivery vehicles, heavy-duty on-road tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers—each requiring your expertise to ensure safe and efficient operation.

You'll work with cutting-edge technology and equipment, including alternative power generation systems such as compressed natural gas, liquefied natural gas, propane, hybrid, and electric vehicles in select locations.
Key Responsibilities
As an Automotive Technician at arenaflex, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on delivery vehicles, tractors, and trailers
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with diesel, gasoline, and alternative power generation systems
- Maintaining and repairing hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls
- Operating both standard and manual transmission vehicles
- Using power tools, pneumatic tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively
- Meeting all Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) requirements as necessary for the position
- Operating powered industrial trucks (PITO certification required)
- Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Working cooperatively with team members in a diverse work environment
- Communicating effectively through verbal and written means to complete assignments safely
Physical Requirements
This role requires physical capability and stamina. You must be able to:
- Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb ladders and stairs regularly
- Stand, walk, and turn/pivot frequently throughout the workday
- Sit occasionally as required by job duties
- Perform fine hand manipulation, power hand grasping, and reaching from foot level to above shoulder level
- Operate vehicles and equipment for extended periods
- Work in variable temperatures and humidity conditions
- Handle exposure to cleaning chemicals, petroleum products, dust, noise, and outdoor weather conditions
Work Schedule
Automotive Technicians at arenaflex work full-time shifts of 8-10 hours per day, 4-5 days per week. We offer flexible scheduling options to accommodate our service needs, including:
- Second shift positions
- Third shift positions
- Monday through Friday schedules
- Sunday through Thursday schedules
- Tuesday through Saturday schedules
Availability to work varying shifts, additional hours, and overtime depending on service needs is required. We understand that life happens, and we value reliability—team members who consistently report to work on time and complete their scheduled shifts are highly valued members of our team.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Current documented automotive mechanical experience – A proven track record of working on vehicles is essential
- Experience with diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and personal computers – Modern vehicle repair requires technical proficiency
- A complete supplement of personal hand tools – You must possess the necessary tools to perform job tasks effectively
- Ability to meet D.O.T. requirements as required by the job position
- Reliability and punctuality – The ability to report to work regularly and complete scheduled workdays consistently
- Legal work authorization – Must be a U.S. Citizen, national of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will make you a stronger candidate:
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) – Preferred but not mandatory
- Additional certifications in alternative fuel vehicle maintenance
- Previous experience working with diverse vehicle fleets
- ASE certification or equivalent credentials
