Position Overview


The Associate Manager, Clinical Health Services will play a pivotal role in directing the execution of healthcare management services for assigned functional areas. Key Responsibilities


As a key leader within our clinical operations team, you will be responsible for:


  • Clinical Policy Implementation: Execute clinical policies and procedures in strict accordance with relevant regulatory and accreditation standards, including NCQA, URAC, state and federal regulations as applicable.

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert and coach to your team, providing guidance on practice standards, quality interventions, issue resolution, and critical thinking approaches.

  • Best Practice Development: Ensure implementation and monitoring of best practice approaches and innovations to better address population health needs across the continuum of care.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a primary contact with other key business areas, fostering seamless communication and collaboration across departments.

  • Training and Development: Develop and/or aid in the creation of new training content, collaborating and delivering inter and intra-departmental training sessions to enhance team capabilities.

  • Confidentiality and Compliance: Protect the confidentiality of member information and adhere to company policies regarding privacy and data security.

  • Care Management Oversight: Manage resources responsible for identification of members, development and execution of care plans, enhancement of clinical appropriateness and quality of care, and monitoring, evaluating, and documenting care outcomes.

  • Data Analysis and Improvement: Evaluate and interpret data, identify areas for improvement, and focus on interventions to enhance clinical outcomes and member satisfaction.

  • Performance Management: Develop, initiate, evaluate, monitor, and communicate performance expectations for your team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Technology Utilization: Ensure the team's understanding and effective use of information system capabilities and functionality to optimize workflow efficiency.

  • Recruitment and Hiring: Participate in the recruitment and hiring process, developing clearly defined requirements regarding education, experience, technical and performance skills.

  • Team Development: Assess developmental needs and collaborate with others to identify and implement action plans that support the growth of high-performing teams.

  • Leadership and Culture Building: Establish an environment and work style that promotes collaboration, cross-product integration, and continuum of care thinking that results in strong team performance.

  • Change Management: Consistently demonstrate the ability to act as a model change agent and lead change efforts within your team and across the organization.

  • Positive Work Environment: Create a positive workplace by recognizing team contributions, soliciting input, and offering personal support when needed.

  • Compliance Management: Maintain responsibility for compliance with policies and procedures, implementing them effectively at the team level.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with Providers, Members, Staff, and other Leaders, providing support to sales and network teams through on-site client visits and presentations as needed.

Required Qualifications


To succeed in this role, you must possess:


  • A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting

  • Active and unrestricted RN (Registered Nurse) or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) licensure in your state of residence

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation

  • Experience with quality improvement initiatives

Preferred Qualifications


While not required, the following qualifications will strengthen your application:


  • Managed Medicare experience – Understanding of Medicare Advantage programs and population health management

  • Experience working remotely and independently, utilizing digital collaboration tools effectively

  • A Master's degree in a social health field or a BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) is preferred

  • Previous leadership or management experience in a clinical setting

  • Knowledge of NCQA and URAC accreditation standards

  • Familiarity with healthcare information systems and electronic health records
