Position Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Executive Communications Manager to lead our Executive Communications program. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, developing communications strategies that elevate our corporate brand, engage our workforce, and connect with external stakeholders across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities

Communications Strategy Development



  • Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive communications strategies and materials that align with overall corporate objectives

  • Proactively engage internal and external stakeholders to gather insights that inform content development and messaging frameworks

  • Apply specialized expertise and knowledge of successful communications campaigns to manage your own work and mentor others

  • Ensure adherence to arenaflex values and brand guidelines across all communications

Strategic Planning and Positioning



  • Develop thought leadership initiatives that establish communications strategy and planning frameworks

  • Define and execute policies supporting overall strategy while ensuring consistency of voice across all messages and channels

  • Participate in business planning discussions and translate organizational value propositions into effective communications strategies and storytelling

  • Identify, segment, and target audience needs, adapting communications strategies accordingly

  • Scale messages appropriately for various initiatives while considering the best channels to achieve maximum impact

  • Embed diversity and inclusion principles throughout strategy and execution

Storytelling and Messaging



  • Create storytelling opportunities by leveraging data and insights to develop compelling narratives

  • Work cross-functionally to develop stories that generate positive perceptions of arenaflex

  • Determine optimal story formats based on expertise in what is most appropriate and relevant for specific stories and audiences

  • Manage storytelling rhythm including content development and curation to effectively land key messages

  • Ensure content and audience translation across stories

  • Develop accounts based on messaging frameworks that drive content alignment

Communications Execution



  • Develop assurance materials including decks, posts, and proposals for specific communications initiatives and events

  • Create cause-and-effect associations to ensure messaging consistency across all channels

  • Understand how audiences are being addressed and the suitability of formats such as webinars, webcasts, posts, and core materials for field engagement

  • Suggest and develop frameworks and proportionate responses

  • Iterate on content based on feedback and response

  • Test effectiveness of messaging and understand available channels and when to use each

  • Ensure work is complementary and not duplicative or conflicting with other efforts

Stakeholder Management



  • Identify required content and develop materials to support education, guidance, and counsel to internal stakeholders, clients, and partners on communications strategy and policies

  • Develop expertise in stakeholder groups and individuals, using that understanding in task execution

  • Understand perspectives, goals, and desired outcomes of partners

  • Establish, refine, and manage expectations and priorities

  • Set decision-making processes and principles at the outset to drive priorities and expectations

  • Clarify roles and responsibilities to prevent delivery gaps

  • Ensure alignment on essential purpose as a starting point for policy execution

  • Establish business rhythm including cadence, planning, and content schedules

  • Escalate appropriately while recognizing and acting to be inclusive of diverse perspectives and styles

Reputation Management



  • Identify opportunities to improve reputation and perception, developing content accordingly including addressing errors when they occur

  • Recognize and act to address potential reputation risk issues

  • Develop content to mitigate those risks

  • Act as a trusted advisor by advancing and protecting the corporate image and reputation

  • Anticipate, understand, and utilize factors affecting reputation including security and data considerations

  • Engage with others to manage and lead research on individuals, platforms, and groups to determine suitability, influence, risk, vulnerabilities, and values alignment

Messaging Impact and Measurement



  • Monitor, track, and analyze the impact of and responses to messaging for specific issues

  • Develop responsive materials as needed

  • Use insights to inform data-driven proactive approaches

  • Mentor others on best practices

  • Share insights with stakeholders on reputational impact

  • Collect, leverage, and integrate data to guide insights and iterate on solutions

  • Set KPIs to evaluate effectiveness at the start and adjust as needed

  • Identify, develop, and implement measures to evaluate effectiveness and iterate as content, platforms, and desired results evolve

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience in Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Activities, Program Management, Project Management, or a related field
  • Alternative: Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of formal education
  • Security Requirements: Ability to meet arenaflex, client, and/or government security screening requirements. This position requires passing a comprehensive background investigation upon hire and periodic re-evaluation

Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or a related field with 6+ years of progressive experience in Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Activities, Program Management, or Project Management

  • 4+ years of experience supporting senior leaders in an executive communications role

  • 4+ years of experience working with social media platforms and digital communications channels

  • 4+ years of experience working in the technology industry

  • Demonstrated track record of developing executive-level communications and thought leadership content
