We are currently seeking an experienced Director, Healthcare Data Management to lead our data strategy initiatives and drive operational excellence across the organization.
Position Overview
We are looking for a strategic and results-driven leader to serve as Director, Healthcare Data Management at arenaflex. This pivotal role involves working cross-functionally with our US Medical Services Group to identify and evaluate data adaptation opportunities that will enhance our service offerings and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of healthcare data ecosystems, demonstrate exceptional leadership capabilities, and have a proven track record of managing complex data initiatives within the pharmaceutical, payer, or health system sectors.
As the Director, Healthcare Data Management, you will be responsible for overseeing the functional elements of our US Healthcare Strategy group, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to improve existing data adaptation products, and establishing continuous improvement processes for data management across the enterprise. This position requires a collaborative mindset, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to influence key stakeholders across multiple lines of business.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Data Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Pharmacy, Retail, and Field Operations Solutions (FOS) to enhance current data adaptation products and drive innovation in our data management offerings. Work closely with senior leadership to define targets and objectives that align with organizational goals.
- Process Improvement: Establish and maintain continuous improvement of data management and administration processes across the enterprise, partnering with various lines of business to strengthen data adaptation products and ensure consistent quality standards.
- Contract Analysis: Provide the Retail Strategy group with contract organization processes and comprehensive analysis to ensure effective execution and management of business terms, including core analysis related to pharmaceutical manufacturer service agreements.
- Client Relationship Management: Support business relationships with existing and new data product and services clients by serving as a subject matter expert (SME) and collaborating with internal teams including Information Technology to deliver exceptional service.
- Regulatory Compliance: Participate in and contribute to regulatory or contractual audits with data analysis as a subject matter expert, ensuring all activities meet compliance standards and organizational requirements.
- Proposal Development: Lead RFP responses and Statements of Work (SOW) for new contracts as a subject matter expert, articulating technical requirements and solution approaches to prospective clients.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work in a networked environment to provide shared accountability for pharmaceutical manufacturer relationships with Purchasing, Public Record Management, and Specialty Pharmacy partners on data adaptation and related contractual requirements.
- Business Development: Support new business development initiatives by providing project plan and process details to create compelling proposals for new services as well as reporting and analytical capabilities.
- Strategic Leadership: Lead cross-functional influencing across arenaflex to create awareness and synergies, encompassing Pharmacy Services, Store Operations, and Specialty divisions.
- Data Governance: Advise on various data adaptation projects and initiatives (current or future) to ensure that any data-related changes and conditions are identified, communicated, documented, and managed to ensure adherence with organizational requirements and Enterprise Data Management established standards.
- Team Development: Coach, guide, and develop employees through mentorship, training, and performance management programs to build employee confidence, motivation, and loyalty.
- Analytics Delivery: Lead delivery and support of current and new analysis products including but not limited to Advances in collaboration with outside vendors to provide data and insights to pharmaceutical, payer, and health system partners.
- Technology Partnership: Define and partner closely with the IT team to develop and monitor metrics that impact current organizational data delivery services and analysis products.
- Policy Adherence: Work within organizational guidelines regarding policies, programs, procedures, budgets, and applicable laws. Ensure the development and execution of supported manufacturer partner services are consistent with overall strategy.
- Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time for business purposes, both within state and out of state, as needed to meet business objectives.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience collaborating with both internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet departmental and company objectives within budget and established timelines.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying management or operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve issues effectively.
- Strong project management experience including planning, coordinating, and managing resources to achieve successful completion of specific project goals and objectives.
- Experience in program administration and analysis of manufacturer programs for Specialty Pharmacy services.
- Comprehensive understanding of healthcare data ecosystems, including pharmaceutical, payer, and health system operations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience working with data integration, data warehousing, or business intelligence platforms.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA, FDA guidelines, and industry compliance standards.
- Prior experience in a leadership role within pharmaceutical data management or healthcare analytics.
- Strong background in contract negotiation and vendor management.
- Experience with specialty pharmacy operations and manufacturer partnership programs.
