What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Data Engineering Specialist at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in our data infrastructure team. Here's what you can expect to be working on:

Build and maintain robust, flexible data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing large volumes of data to support advertising on arenaflex.com and its subsidiaries

Design and implement efficient data models for optimal storage and retrieval, ensuring scalability and performance as data volumes grow

Work on cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform for data storage, processing, and analysis

Create and deploy large-scale, containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes in public cloud environments

Develop and maintain ETL processes using modern data integration tools and frameworks

Collaborate with other scrum teams, QA, Product, Program Management, and Partner Operations while working alongside cross-functional enterprise development teams

Ensure data quality and reliability by implementing validation, monitoring, and error-handling mechanisms

Participate in on-call rotations to investigate production issues across cross-functional teams, ensuring 24/7 availability and rapid problem resolution

Identify opportunities for improving existing processes, tools, and systems to achieve high scale and productivity

Work with real-time data processing using streaming technologies and event-driven architectures

What You'll Bring: Required Qualifications

We're looking for candidates who have a strong foundation in data engineering concepts and hands-on experience with modern data technologies. Here's what we need from you:

Demonstrated expertise in data engineering concepts, database design, ETL processes, and data mining techniques

Proficiency in working with data technologies including SQL, Python, and big data frameworks such as Scala and Hadoop

Experience with ETL tools such as Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration platforms

Strong skills working with relational databases (e.g., Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, or DynamoDB

Experience with real-time data processing using Apache Kafka or similar streaming platforms
