What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities
As a Data Engineering Specialist at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in our data infrastructure team. Here's what you can expect to be working on:
- Build and maintain robust, flexible data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing large volumes of data to support advertising on arenaflex.com and its subsidiaries
- Design and implement efficient data models for optimal storage and retrieval, ensuring scalability and performance as data volumes grow
- Work on cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform for data storage, processing, and analysis
- Create and deploy large-scale, containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes in public cloud environments
- Develop and maintain ETL processes using modern data integration tools and frameworks
- Collaborate with other scrum teams, QA, Product, Program Management, and Partner Operations while working alongside cross-functional enterprise development teams
- Ensure data quality and reliability by implementing validation, monitoring, and error-handling mechanisms
- Participate in on-call rotations to investigate production issues across cross-functional teams, ensuring 24/7 availability and rapid problem resolution
- Identify opportunities for improving existing processes, tools, and systems to achieve high scale and productivity
- Work with real-time data processing using streaming technologies and event-driven architectures
What You'll Bring: Required Qualifications
We're looking for candidates who have a strong foundation in data engineering concepts and hands-on experience with modern data technologies. Here's what we need from you:
- Demonstrated expertise in data engineering concepts, database design, ETL processes, and data mining techniques
- Proficiency in working with data technologies including SQL, Python, and big data frameworks such as Scala and Hadoop
