The Autopilot Data Annotation organization at arenaflex is responsible for annotating images, videos, and complex virtual camera data that serves as the foundation for training our neural networks. Position Overview: Data Annotation Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Data Annotation Supervisor to lead our team of Data Annotation Specialists who label 3D and image data for neural network training. This is a remote position that offers flexibility while maintaining close collaboration with our engineering and Autopilot management teams.

The ideal candidate will have an exceptional eye for detail, a deep appreciation for data integrity, and the leadership skills to drive performance for a medium-sized team of annotators. You must be comfortable following management directives to deliver results while also bringing your own insights and improvements to the annotation process.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Management: Conduct ongoing performance management for the team, including creating training plans, tracking improvement progress, and completing monthly analyses. Lead performance reports and provide regular feedback to team members.

Quality Assurance: Evaluate everyday performance using proprietary software and report daily summaries and team metrics to ensure consistency and quality in our annotation work.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work directly with engineers and Autopilot management to own annotation guidelines that require documentation of both technical and operational constraints.

Process Improvement: Demonstrate a strong record of task recommendations to effectively discuss labeling requirements, identify labeling inefficiencies, and assist in developing documentation and training materials.

Resource Allocation: Execute proper headcount allocation between Quality Control and labeling teams, and prioritize project queues daily as directed by management.

Documentation: Ensure documentation and daily planning for the team is accurate and continuously updated to maintain operational excellence.

Team Development: Handle supervisory duties including employee development, conducting bi-annual performance reviews, and monthly performance check-ins with Team Leads and Data Annotation Specialists.

Recognition: Recognize employees on a monthly cadence who consistently exceed expectations, fostering a culture of excellence and motivation.

Mentorship: Mentor direct reports and ensure the team works as a cohesive unit, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Time Management: Accurately manage timekeeping and attendance through the Kronos system to maintain accurate records and workforce planning.

Time Management Skills: Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritizing responsibilities in order of importance and completing tasks in a timely manner.

Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills with an aptitude for rapid learning of new systems and processes.

Deadline Management: Proven track record of executing and meeting sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Multi-Tasking Capability: Experience handling multiple competing responsibilities with limited resources while maintaining quality standards.
