Our Same Day division is a global expedited transportation organization dedicated to meeting the most urgent delivery needs of our clients. We pride ourselves on delivering time-critical solutions with precision and reliability. We're currently seeking a talented professional to support our Pricing team from our corporate headquarters in Real, VA.

What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Strategic Pricing & Rate Analysis Professional, you'll be at the forefront of developing competitive pricing structures that enable arenaflex to win new business while maintaining healthy profit margins. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to serve clients effectively and sustainably.

Collaborative Pricing Development

Work closely with our business development and sales teams to support the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, ensuring we present compelling, competitive pricing solutions to prospective clients

Create and implement comprehensive pricing structures for new and existing Same Day clients that balance competitiveness with profitability

Partner with internal operations and procurement teams to respond to custom client requests in a timely and accurate manner

Analytical Excellence

Investigate shipment volume and revenue data to determine the effectiveness and profitability of our pricing structures

Develop insightful analyses that inform strategic pricing decisions across the organization

Understand aircraft costing tables and have the ability to challenge or question costs when necessary to ensure accuracy

Innovation and Solution Development

Think creatively to develop customized solutions that meet unique client needs and drive high-margin business

Assist in establishing overall rate guidelines and policies for the sales team to use when setting rates for individual clients

Maintain and design tools that support and enhance our overall pricing efforts

Cross-Functional Partnership

Demonstrate interest in various business areas and the specialization of each to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients

Work effectively with all levels of the organization, from operational teams to executive leadership

Collaborate with finance, operations, and sales departments to ensure pricing alignment across the business

What We're Looking For: Required Qualifications

We're seeking a candidate who combines analytical expertise with strong business acumen and exceptional communication skills. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering customized solutions that engage client activity and drive profitable growth.

Essential Experience and Skills

Industry Experience: Related experience in transportation/logistics operations OR experience in a data/financial analysis role supporting pricing proposals and rate structures

Technical Proficiency: Advanced MS Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and visualization

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interface with internal teams and external stakeholders

Organizational Abilities: Highly organized with strong analytical capabilities, focused attention to detail, and deadline-oriented mindset

Time Management: Ability to prioritize effectively and manage time well in a fast-paced environment

Multi-tasking Capability: Skill in handling multiple projects simultaneously and responding to impromptu pricing requests

Education

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred

Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree
