The Role: Senior Director, Global Adversarial Abuse & Analytics


Are you ready to take on a pivotal leadership role in protecting millions of users worldwide? arenaflex is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Director to lead our Global Adversarial Abuse & Analytics team within the Trust and Safety organization. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by safeguarding our platform against bad actors while driving data-informed strategies that enhance user safety and experience.

As the Senior Director of Global Adversarial Abuse & Analytics, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of adversarial abuse prevention, including account takeovers, terminated user evasion, engagement fraud, spam, and emerging threats. You will lead two high-performing teams: the Adversarial Abuse team, responsible for early detection of emerging trends and operational enforcement, and the Business Analytics team, dedicated to measuring abuse, generating insights, and producing transparency reports for stakeholders worldwide.

Key Responsibilities



  • Strategic Leadership: Lead the Adversarial Abuse team in identifying and removing actors attempting account takeovers, spam, engagement manipulation, evasion of termination, and other malicious activities. Drive the Business Analytics team to generate actionable insights, estimate uncaught badness, and publish Transparency Reports for countries around the world.

  • Risk Anticipation: Understand, anticipate, and intelligently moderate risks arising from new and scaling industry trends, including emerging technologies such as generative AI and evolving attack vectors.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Policy Development team to create policies using account, social, and content signals that effectively describe harmful behavior and protect our community.

  • Operational Excellence: Deliver effective and efficient operational performance (quality, service levels) in a global team operating 24×7 across multiple time zones.

  • Team Development: Attract, retain, manage, and develop top talent. Build a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within your teams.

  • Escalation Management: Handle high-priority escalations with rapid response times, provide data and content-driven insights, and implement solutions while building relationships with key cross-functional partners to support the launch of new products and policies.

  • Strategic Insights: Utilize data to drive strategy and business action, working effectively in a rapidly changing industry while managing ambiguity and minimizing uncertainty through quantitative insights.

Essential Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in risk management, fraud fighting at scale, and building/delivering analytical insights.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with engineering teams to build data infrastructure and machine learning models.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading teams with the ability to work non-standard weeks as accelerations require, including occasional on-call availability on weekends and holidays on a rotational basis.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Excellent business judgment, strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive strategy and business outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications



  • Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., research, engineering, data science, business analytics).

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with large-scale data analysis and anomaly detection techniques.

  • Direct experience or demonstrated interest in anti-abuse operations and content moderation.

  • Proficiency in SQL, R, or Matlab for data analysis and statistical modeling.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present complex findings to executive leadership.

  • Strong track record of managing ambiguity in fast-paced environments and leading through change.

  • Technical Fluency: Strong understanding of data infrastructure, machine learning concepts, and technology platforms. Ability to effectively collaborate with engineering and product teams.

  • Operational Acumen: Experience managing 24×7 operations with a focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
