About the Role
arenaflex is seeking a visionary and results-driven leader to serve as our Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse Prevention & Analytics. This is a exceptional opportunity to lead our Trust and Safety efforts on a global scale, protecting our platform and community from bad actors while driving strategic initiatives that keep arenaflex safe for creators, viewers, and advertisers alike.
The Trust and Safety (T&S) organization at arenaflex is dedicated to making our platform a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for everyone. Whether it's understanding and addressing user concerns, preventing malicious actors from causing harm, or developing and enforcing policies that protect our community, the Trust and Safety team is at the forefront of enhancing the arenaflex experience and building a safer digital ecosystem.
The Adversarial Abuse Prevention and Analytics team within Trust and Safety fights against bad actors and generates critical insights that inform our safety strategies across the entire platform. In this role, you will partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Global Operations, and Policy Development to improve detection capabilities, build sophisticated tooling, manage scaled enforcement, and create comprehensive policy frameworks.
What You'll Do
As the Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse Prevention & Analytics, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of adversarial abuse prevention, including account takeovers, terminated user evasion, engagement manipulation, spam, and emerging threats. Your leadership will be instrumental in establishing early detection mechanisms for emerging trends and driving operational enforcement excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Adversarial Abuse Prevention team responsible for identifying and removing bad actors attempting account takeovers, spam, engagement manipulation, evasion of termination, and other malicious activities that threaten platform integrity
- Drive the Business Analytics team responsible for generating actionable insights, measuring undetected badness, and publishing Transparency Reports for countries worldwide
- Understand, anticipate, and intelligently mitigate risks from new and scaling industry trends, including emerging technologies like generative AI that may be exploited by malicious actors
- Collaborate with the Policy Development team to create robust policies using account, social, and content signals to identify and describe harmful behavior patterns
- Deliver effective and efficient operational performance (including quality metrics and service levels) in a global team operating 24×7 across multiple time zones
- Attract, retain, manage, and develop top talent by fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration
- Manage critical escalations with rapid response times, providing data and content-driven insights while implementing solutions
- Build strong relationships with key cross-functional partners to help launch new products and policies that effectively prevent adversarial abuse
- Provide strategic direction for data infrastructure and machine learning model development in collaboration with engineering teams
- Lead through ambiguity in a rapidly changing industry, leveraging quantitative insights to minimize uncertainty and drive informed decision-making
What We're Looking For
We're seeking an experienced leader with a proven track record in risk management, fraud detection at scale, and building data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will be passionate about online safety and committed to protecting users while enabling legitimate expression.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience demonstrating analytical and leadership capabilities
- Minimum 2 years of experience in risk management, fraud fighting at scale, and building/delivering analytical insights that drive business decisions
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with engineering teams to build data infrastructure and machine learning models
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading teams with the ability to work non-standard weeks as business accelerations require
- Demonstrated ability to work in a 24×7 operational environment, including the ability to participate in on-call rotations covering weekends and holidays on a rotational basis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., Analytics, Engineering, Data Science, Business Administration)
- 2+ years of experience with analysis of large datasets and anomaly detection techniques
- Direct experience or demonstrated interest in anti-abuse operations and content moderation
- Strong proficiency in SQL/R/Matlab or similar analytical tools for statistical analysis and data visualization
- Exceptional influencing and executive communication skills with the ability to build relationships across functional boundaries
- Excellent business judgment, strategic and analytical capabilities, including the ability to use data to drive strategy and business action
- Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing industry and manage ambiguity while minimizing uncertainty through quantitative insights
- Experience leading global teams across multiple regions and time zones
