About the Role

Are you a strategic leader passionate about protecting users and maintaining the integrity of a global digital platform? arenaflex is seeking an experienced Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse and Analytics to lead our Trust and Safety, Adversarial Abuse and Analytics team. This is a high-impact leadership position that sits at the heart of our commitment to user safety and platform integrity.

As the Senior Director, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of adversarial abuse prevention, including account takeovers, terminated user evasion, engagement manipulation, spam, and emerging threat vectors. You will lead two critical teams: the Adversarial Abuse team, responsible for early detection of emerging trends and operational enforcement, and the Business Analytics team, responsible for measuring abuse, interpreting data, generating insights, and producing transparency reports for governments and stakeholders worldwide.

This role requires occasional on-call availability on weekends and holidays on a rotational basis, reflecting our commitment to 24/7 platform safety.

Key Responsibilities


  • Strategic Leadership: Lead the Adversarial Abuse team responsible for identifying and removing bad actors attempting account takeovers, spam, engagement abuse, evasion of termination, and other malicious activities. Direct the Business Analytics team in generating insights, estimating uncaught violations, and publishing Transparency Reports for countries around the world.
  • Threat Anticipation: Understand, anticipate, and intelligently moderate risks from new and scaling industry trends, including emerging technologies such as generative AI that may be exploited by bad actors.
  • Policy Development Collaboration: Work closely with the Policy Development team to create policies using account, social, and content signals to characterize harmful behavior and establish clear guidelines for enforcement.
  • Operational Excellence: Deliver effective and efficient functional performance (quality, service levels) in a global team operating 24×7. Drive continuous improvement in detection capabilities and enforcement processes.
  • Team Development: Attract, retain, manage, and develop top talent. Build a high-performing team culture that embraces innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Manage escalations with rapid turnaround times, provide data and content-driven insights, and implement solutions while building relationships with key cross-functional partners to help launch new products and policies that effectively prevent adversarial abuse.
  • Technical Collaboration: Partner with Product Management and Engineering to improve detection and tooling, work with Global Operations to manage scaled enforcement, and collaborate on building data infrastructure and machine learning models.

Essential Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience demonstrating quantitative and analytical capabilities.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in risk management, fraud fighting at scale, and building/delivering analytical experiences that drive business decisions.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with engineering teams that build data infrastructure and machine learning models, demonstrating technical fluency and collaborative product development skills.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading teams with the ability to work non-standard work weeks as accelerations require, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to mission-critical objectives.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a rapidly changing industry and manage ambiguity while minimizing uncertainty through quantitative insights.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Advanced degree in a related field such as analytics, engineering, data science, or business administration.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with analysis of large datasets and anomaly detection, with demonstrated expertise in identifying patterns and trends in complex data environments.

  • Experience or demonstrated interest in anti-abuse activities, with familiarity of threat landscape evolution and mitigation strategies.

  • Proficiency in SQL/R/Matlab or similar analytical programming languages for data analysis and visualization.

  • Exceptional influencing and executive communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across functional boundaries and influence senior stakeholders.

  • Excellent business judgment, strategic and analytical skills, including the ability to use data to drive strategy and business action.

  • Experience managing global teams across multiple time zones and cultural contexts.
